Well i like what you said, but we need more than that. Increase taxes within reason. End tax loopholes in the corporate tax code. Cut the defense budget by half and take all that money and give the people of this country what they deserve. Free healthcare which is a human right, not a service that should be denied to those who can't afford it. Also free education from cradle to PHD if that is what you want. there is something that people should know. automation is taking a heavy toll on jobs but is never discussed. automation is also unavoidable. the work force & universities have to be adjusted to face this big time in the future. 2.Arrest and prosecute any banker involved in the default swap scheme.
3.Bring the troops home,END THE WARS.

He's not responsible for anything that came after his insignificant little rally. To claim credit for a national movement in which people flocked out to see the likes of Sarah Palin is just sad.

@bulldogger The Tea Party started w/ Ron Paul SUPPORTERS. They were called lunatics by the same people who jumped on their bandwagon in 2008. The Tea Party went 'national' or a better term mainstream when Obama won and it became cool to oppose Bush's policies, I mean Obama's policies.

@bulldogger In my experience, the Tea Party was just as organic and spontaneous as the Occupy groups. But just like now, other groups want to take credit, move in, and try to get in front of it.
More over, I would say both groups, tea party and the occupy groups have much more in common than not. Both are against corruption, big gov't & big business collusion(corporatism, aka crony capitalism), the disproportionate influence of lobbyists, the nature of the banking system, wars, etc etc etc

@dennist3hmenace Spontaneous stupidity fighting against their own interests and backed by corporate dollars. The Tea Party was a movement of evolution deniers, healthcare fighters (while they claimed to be pro-life), climate change deniers; they fought against education, against government interference in the free market (minimum wage, child labor laws), against regulating Wall Street (they were only opposed to the initial bailouts), etc. The two movements have very little in common.

It's clear that you've been conditioned to hate 50% of your countrymen, while making no effort at all to understand their positions. You'd rather stereotype, insult, and outright lie about people you disagree with. For example, how can you say the tea party fights against education and health care? I dare you to defend those statements.
