  • What is that noise seriously?

  • If I get a Mac, I may try this, but with Windows 98 or Me instead.

  • What is that noise? Ur mini?

  • how big is ur lcd?

  • It's a 24" LCD monitor. Resolution is at 1920x1200 in millions of colors.

  • ive got the same mini as you, how does it run? my mini cant even run photoshop without burning up, so this must kill it right?

  • With Linux and Win XP running on the VM, it runs fine at least. I haven't stressed it out that much though.

I've run 2 VMs at the same time and it worked alright for me. I didn't notice the temp. Next time I'll monitor.

    Cheers.

  • wow, thats cool, i think there has to be a problem with my mini, if a powermac g5 1.8ghz single can run photoshop cs3 then why cany my dual 1.66 run photoshop elements:S it doesnt make sence, but im getting a macbook soon... what version of linux works best? i have an ubuntu cd but i cant work out how to install it lol.

  • I've used Ubuntu (Desktop and Server editions) 8.04, OpenSuSE, CentOS, and Fedora Core. They all seem to run fine.

If you downloaded the disc image to your hard drive, tell VMWare (or Parallels) to use the disc image to install. Or, if you just use the DVD-ROM, just insert the disk and boot the newly created VM.

Good luck with the install and have fun.

  • thanks :)
