  • How to fuck up a great song!

Canned Heat's version is a million times better.

  • @slasha666 I wouldn't be too sure about that. I've just listened to both versions one after another, and to be quite honest they are done in such different ways that they almost sound like two totally different songs! Chalk & cheese comes to mind when trying to compare the two. The Bryan Ferry version is more pop for dancing to, whereas the Canned Heat version is more akin hard rock. They're both just as good in their own ways, depends on what genre of music you prefer.

  • I heard an extended remix of this song at the warehouse party after the gay mardi gras in sydney, about 9am in the morning in a massive old hall filled to the brim with about 10000 sweaty tired out-of-it poofs, lesbos and drag queens, then this song comes on and every one on that dancefloor kicks ass for one last time that night! Total pandemonium for about 8 minutes! It was faaaaabulous!

  • If you want to hear what this is ripped off from, go to the great Canned Heat version of Let's Work Together. That unlike this was a great song.

  • Fantastic! Certainly want to dance yer stuff round the sitting room. Sing & growl. But.......dieisplayerReborn why would you want to grab your bits!!!! What is this extraordinary habit nowadays. NOT sexy. NOT attractive. Certainly resistable. Less (obvious) is so more sexy. Good fitting clothes. Relaxed walk. And good manners a la Ferry - all sexy. Grabbing yer balls? Gawd save us. And don't even think about wearing yer kecks half way off yer arse. Showing 3rd rate underpants is UGLY UGLY UGLY

  • just realized you can play sharp dressed man to this beat lol

  • teecher16 i totaly agree with you ! great stuff great song !

  • gar nicht schlecht !

  • абажаю этого парня. рок'н'рол все-таки британская штучка, чтобы не вооброжали себе поклонники Элвиса

  • This song makes me sooo horny!!!So much power and swing!!! GENIOUS!

  • this is what rock should sound like - heavy and in your face

  • Brian Ferry was and is the definition of "COOL". Look in the dictionary next to cool and you will see a photo of Brian! See also suave, debonair and COOL BREEZE! Great tune from a great tunes master!

  • Upon hearing that intro, you turn it up a notch or 3 and work it like a hamster in

a meth demo, knowing that this is that song all too suddenly over and done in a

three minute sha-la-la. Guess again, when you hear Jerry Hall whooping in the

fifth verse rather than the third. Then the guitar and bass interplay -- Wetton and

Spedding, perhaps -- all too good to compromise. Then, stereo-oh-yeah-yee-haw

as you collapse at the end of this, repeating 'This isn't the LP version, by any means'.

  • I remember Brian Ferry in my young days, what an inspiration, what great music!

  • the bass playing in this song is so GOD DAMN AWESOME!

  • @ragnarthelibrarian please assure me it isn't the guy from Asia

  • When I saw "Extended Remix" I thought it would be lame/annoying/pointless-but I was wrong, thanks for posting it. Great sound quality, too...

  • hahaha what a nick ::===;))

  • kick ASS !!

  • Reminds me of the Jeremy Clarkson DVDs ;)

  • I prefer the previous version. shorter on the intro and with a sax solo sound louder and clearer. no doubt about that!

  • creeeeepy faaaaace

  • Bryan Ferry was born on a ferry, he father was called jerry

  • Where can i find / get this great extended version??

  • @bookar2 Wat ben jij een domme kankermongool...

  • brilliant

  • Is this indeed a remix, or is it in fact just the original uncut version from 1976? In any case, it's an outstanding piece of both catchy and clever - dare I say rock & roll? - music. Wilbert's original was first called "Let's WORK Together", but he changed the title later himself.

  • @eurositi "Let's WORK Together" was Canned Heat's original... Bryan Ferry stole the song and wrote a different text to it, the melody is almost identical.

  • How could Ferry have stolen a song from anned Heat, if the song wasn't even written by them? "Let's Work/Stick Together" was written by Wilbert Harrison and released as a single in 1962... But Canned Heat's cover was the first version that bcame a hit.

  • @eurositi At least thats what I heard on the radio. Bryan Ferry was accused of plagiarism, he stole this song, regardless of who wrote it, and wrote a different text and changed the melody slightly. Called it his own. I know thats not what it says at Wikipedia, but thats what the radio said.

  • Ferry did not plagiarise the song he just made a brilliant cover version of it.

  • Bryan Ferry never wrote the song..look at ther title its says it was written by W. Harrison. Ferry acknowledges it as a cover version,. Get your facts right people, Let's Stick Together was not written by Ferry nor has he ever claimed to have written it.

  • Bryan Ferry did not steal th esong or write differnt lyrics to a Canned Heat song. The writer of the song was Wilbert Harrison. If you look at the writing credits for the song Let's Stick Together it say Harrison. Ferry is not acknowledged as the writer. Get your facts right people beofre you go insulting a great artist like Bryan Ferry

  • It shares a name with another song. Does that mean My buddy Simon Cowell (not him...)is a rip off person? No. They're TWO DIFFERENT SONGS WITH THE SAME NAME. This one is actually a cover of LETS WORKR TOGETHER by WILBERT HARRISON.. Bunch of fucking illiterates

  • @teecher16 I totally agree with you. This isn't the first song to have multiple versions by totally different artists by a long shot. Look at "Blue Moon" or "This Old House" for example!

  • @eurositi It was a genuine remix issued in 1988, made No. 12 in the UK Singles chart, cat no. EGO 44

  • to je odvaz !!!! má to šťávu !!!!

  • "ELO : Don´t Bring Me Down" is a fine match to this fine song :-)

  • Love this remix version. Great posting 5*

  • I wore my 12" out of this version!!! Thanks so much for uploading!

  • I didn't like the REMIX, not as authentic as the original Bryan. Can't believe Jerry Hall left him for Micky.

  • Sensational !!! Ferry is the greatest of all time.

  • I preferred the Original.

  • makes want to strut around the front room. quality.

  • Comment removed
