  • Now make Top Ramen with that hot water. xD

  • can you give directions on how to build this.

  • ghetto

  • fap fap fap fap fap its cool

  • how did i get from watching katanas cut things to here. fucking related videos.

  • Do this but make it the engine of a car, u will be a trillionaire.

  • AHHH SMART PERSON!

  • You don't need the ice for the heat engine to work. I'd rather know by about how much does the ice contribute to the efficiency of the machine.

  • bet u won't put your finger on the side of the CD at full speed

  • yes- but noone really needs power- we need nature & animals & plants-

  • like this if u somehow ended up here instead of the vids u where searching up

  • total greatfull i like to build so one too now

  • total greatfull

  • самогонный аппарат изобрели уже давно...

  • wow you invented 2 things here that no 1 uses anomoye 1: A cd player 2: a motor that dont have no use but other than that good job she is soundin good

  • @MrSuaveeito Haha, 8 year old detected. Or just an extremely unintelligent 40 year old.

  • @MrSuaveeito They didn't invent anything here, and it's not a CD player.

  • @fuduzan5562 i know i was beein a smart ass

  • They're talking about making a Venus rover with a stirling engine, looking forward to it.

  • will it blend?

  • Hah, nicely done!

  • Wow nice...now figure out a way to run it without electric heat assistance.

  • Awesome O:

  • Very very nice.

  • surely creating this on a larger scale with a dynamo connected up to the cd thing and using solar panels to heat the water, could create....

    FREE ENERGY!!!!

  • @cocobirdcoco Well no, it would create ridiculously inefficient free energy. You lose more energy in the conversion to the motor because of friction and heat. You would be better off just using the solar panels.

  • @NelielTuOderswank Yes thats all correct but I wouldn't use solar panels here in England, Wind turbine would be more appropiate.

  • Are you dutch ??

  • 0:06 is that the reflection of the nasa rocket in your garden ?

  • are you a wizard???? !!D:

  • sounds like a bj machine

  • that would reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalyyyyy make a good science project

  • basically thats a small scale steam engen but its so cool

  • @thesuperBIGCHEEZ

It's not a small scale steam engine, it's a small scale Sterling engine. There are some relatively big fundamental differences between the two. That there is water involved in this example is incidental (easier medium to use for "home-brew"), though they are similar in that both are Heat engines (as is the combustion engine in your car).

  • What the hell is going on. Talk Dammit.

  • Free DVD player :)!

  • Nice, but you need to get it to go faster if you want to use it as a 360 drive.

  • so, what would happen if we put dry Ice or something a little colder on top? would the engine go faster? and why a CD? you should put a fan on it. especially if using dry ice. it would be like a fog machine!

  • i Dont know what it is but i think thad you can sell it for mutch monny :D

  • do the same with boiling water and dry ice ... very cool, i have one, too

  • this is a concept of a steam engine.....

  • @1407chawe a steam engine uses half of that. The air expands, and then is released, creating the cycle.

  • ccest un moteur a vapeur.....

  • so can u go to a snowy volcano and build a generator there? or drill down the earth from a high mountain? u know use our earth to make electricity.

  • get a v8

  • Well ive always wondered for a never stop engine without anything to power it up.

Could be used as electric generator but the problem is that this thing will stop as soon as the ice melts :(

  • @smiche2 It's known as perpetual motion, which currently, is unkown by man on how to create or harvest it.

  • wouldve been neat if you couldve held the camera still.....

  • Wait a minute, how did i get from watching shotguns to this?

  • Could be a possible alternative to coal driven & Diesel driven trains and pumps. Think of the many possibilities for an eco friendly solution! If only money grew on trees.

  • sterling

  • What you fail to see is that Electricity is Used to run the stirring motor.... so whats the point?

  • @onlyXoneXspike because it doesn't have to be electricity, it could be anything that heats up, there could be a candle underneath

  • I invented a breakthrough energy source which violates the law of energy conservation. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena violating the law of energy conservation. I am looking for $6M for a prototype and patents.

  • @henrykay01

so you want to destroy the rest of the energy we still have and you want us to pay for it

    stupid

  • Works with all cd's except Windows :D

  • Great, let's have top-ice dragsters now.

  • If you put on 3d glasses you'd see the radiation firing upwards. Suggest try throwing this upwards too, out of a window.

  • so its a condensation engine, genuis!!!

  • if he had make it to read the CD, noone would have ever believed its not fake ^^

  • it,s a thirddworld dvd player it,s old when will you upgrade to bluray

  • HAHAHAHAHA *LOL*

  • then you have tea to :P

  • that is like steam engine but is very good

  • I see how that works........ the heat causes the air inside the air-tight cylinder to expad, the when it reaches the top, the ice causes it to contract, creating a cycle.

  • @zabob276 that fast?

  • @zabob276 Wow it's awesome!

  • u can use it as a cd player

    XD

  • that would have been an amazing demo if he made it read a CD :P

  • @bladeb0y85 xDD i would

  • Love it! Greetings from México City!

  • looks like a clowns fukin coffee pot lmfao

  • that is awesome man

  • Am I just entertained easily, or was that really cool? lol

  • That was really cool.

  • Holy shifting mother flock of flamingos son of a penguin! That is one gnarly machine!

  • Hi Gilles.

replace the gas medium with liquid Nitrogen to decrease its boiling point and increase its heat sensitivity.

  • niceeeeee. i like it

  • aww man, i want my own laboratory too!

  • hahaha nice

  • i maid 1 of those in the 8th grade it suckd! how did u get urs going so fast?

  • what ure doin there dude?

  • Ol nur esas Stirling Motoro!

  • yeah! liquid nitrogen and a torch!

  • are you a scientist?

  • I work in science university ! why?

  • so your a professor?

  • @gilbondfac WITCH! BURN IT AT THE STAKE FOR WITCH CRAFT!

  • @gilbondfac

have you ever thought about... taking over the world using SCIENCE!! ?

  • @gilbondfac we can tell

  • @gilbondfac why, because your are lame.

  • I like your sterling engine using the CD. Great job.

  • how about liquid nitrogen, and a torch?

  • Indeed. A hot spring is actually the only feasible thing I could think of.

    Neat though.

  • There is a resort hotel near where I live with both hot and cold springs on the property. I'm surprised the hotel owners have not commissioned a Stirling generator to provide all of the power for the hotel and golf club buildings. Seems like such a waste to buy power off of the grid with such a resource available.

  • let's power up Lake Louise :D

  • Could a larger version of this be used in an area where there is alot of snow, and actually be useful for power generation?

  • yes, definately. and, in fact, there is.

  • Ok cool. One thing that comes to mind though, is that you need heat (hot water) and cold (ice). If you were to use it in a place up north or something with snow, would you not still have to generate the heat to use with this?

I don't think that would generate much if so, but, I'm not an expert.

    What do you think?

  • yeah, you would. places that have hot spings are a prime example. you stick the hot end in the hot springs and leave the cold end out in the -20 degree air. and presto, energy.

  • it's by no means very powerful or efficient, but it does work, and it beats shipping in gasoline to a remote site every week.

it's not free energy, but it's one of the closest things you can get.

  • MUST. REACH. THERMAL EQUILIBRIUM.

  • great engine man, tries to favourite it, but youtube said ive reached my limit of 650 favs, strange!

keep up the good work anyway

  • why did you use a CD?

  • nicely done

  • Sweet, Its like an engine
