I'm sure that her pasta dish is very good, but cmon! ROMANO cheese and garlic salt? Haluski recipes vary for sure, but they never include those ingredients. It's a Polish/Slovak dish, they don't use an Italian cheese on it.
Actually Haluski refers to a dumpling that is similar to a speatzle, this dish doesn't actually have Haluskis in it at all. and Kronic is right, don't cook the cabbage first, slice it up and brown it right in the pan with butter!
this bitch couldnt cook a hotdog. I come from a polish family & that right there isn't close to haluski... you do not par-boil the cabbage, you slice it into "strips" and brown it in a kettle with butter, salt & pepper to taste. Then toss with egg noodles. This chick hasn't a clue. if thats what you serve, fine, but don't call it haluski. I learned all the polish dishes from my grandmother.
I luv TripleD mainly coz of Guy..he is witty n enthusiastic..n i luv his overall style . My fav line till date "she is going to spank ur kabhushki when she finds out that u like this haluski"...awsum!
This dish popular in Poland .They call it Lazanki,Halushki is different kind of dish ,but probably they just give a ethnic name .Halushki like polish pierogi,but with out filling.YUMMY!
