  • Miller's KNot or Butcher's Knot is what I was told. I've heard other names as well.

    I think he said a "Miller's Knot".

  • Are you required to do this or can you just use the bails as they are?

  • think of the bails like bricks. when you come to an end or a butt joint you will sometimes have to cut the bail so it will fit in an available space.

  • Something in my brain makes it close to impossible to learn and remember knots. However, I figured out this one, thanks to your clear explanation!
