There shouldn't be any controversial disputes about which is better on the 1961 Epiphone and Gibson sg, clearly Gibson is more profound in all aspects, those people who say that Epiphone is better either can't afford a Gibson, or have a despising grudge against Gibson, or feel sorry for Epiphone, in the end of the day, Gibson is on, its arguably much better, hell, they even do a better job on the aesthetics, just pick up a Gibson SG junior P-90 guitar and you will hear what I mean.
Superlou 1s. When top master luthier Michael Voltzs left Gibson and joined Epiphone in 2001 his main goal was to Restore Epiphone back once again to a great guitar company! Today Mike Voltzs has most certainly done that and alot more! Most of today's Epiphones Sg's and Lp's are of top professional quality and Gibson every equal and better! And its all Michael Voltzs to thank For making Epiphone a greater guitar company again!
