  • well made propaganda for the genocidal british empire.

  • Leslie Howard is a terrific actor.

  • you are FABOULOUS!

Your movie uploads have made it possibvle for my Dad (83) to relive his youth again. xoxo Now that is worth more than anythign.

  • @lintonpair Lol. My Bro and I are two decades behind your dad, and we get to relive our childhood, in a way, too. A lot of this fair was the 'cheap' 10pm local network movie. Though 'reruns' they're from my childhood, too. I hope you're enjoying them along with him, stylized or not, they're really great stuff!

  • The Scarlet Pimpernel is one of my most favorite stories. Both this and the newer version are very well done and enjoyable. Bravo

  • This is so cool...thanks!! :-)

  • This first film version of Baroness Orcy's story is excellent. Leslie Howard (known for his turn as Ashley Wilkes in "Gone With The Wind") does a heroic job playing two roles. (He could certainly act). Merle Oberon is terrific as Marguerite St. Juste and Raymond Massey is pure menace as Citizen Chauvelin. My only complaint is that there wasn't a swordfight at the end between Sir Percy & Chauvelin. Rumour has it that The Scarlet Pimpernel inspired another dashing hero...the masked avenger ZORRO.

  • Thank you so much for posting one of my all time favourites!
