I did see a beautiful model of the Black Pearl on You Tube once...I´ve opened up my Chinese Boyd Coddington hot rod. The combined receiver/speed controller seems to have self-destructed. My new plan is to invest in a proper receiver, a speed controller, and a hobby-grade steering servo. Here in Spain this will cost 50% more than the car did!
Perhaps the range of brushless electric rc vintage cars made by a US company called HPI will tempt you to take the plunge...you can choose a ´67 Mustang or a Camaro or even a beautiful Plymouth Barracuca.
It´s great, especially for the money.I love the accurate styling and the built-ín soundtrack With regard to the quality of cheap Chinese rc products,I got a Boydster II rc ´32 Ford yesterday, no onboard sound, terrible tires but beautiful. On the second charge of the battery it suddenly stopped while in use and it won´t go now. I´m going to have to open it up & fit hobby-grade receiver, speed control, & maybe steering servo. Suddenly it´s not so cheap!
I must say that without getting an introdution to these unique cheap end toys, I probablly would have been too shy to buy a high end Rc model if I was in dought! Now that I have actually tasted some action I will look for the quality stuff!
That is wicked cool...a Harley I could afford even as as a static model its cool I saw them @ acme of all places around xmas a few yrs. ago figured it was a piece of crap wish I got 1
It is a collectable bike- probablly really meant for display even though its good quality chrome, plastic and metal... Just gonna have to buy more batteries. she runs on 19.2 volt battery so she really is a 15 minute tease joy ride!
I found this on at a ROSS store by chances for $50.00 dollars! there was another one there that I should have bought but by the time I came back it was gone!
I went all over town trying to find one but was not as lucky, they are found online but are expensive!

I like buying stuff that can also run!
I think this there is a resurging era of very well built toys made cheap that opens up a hobby that was once deemed only for hard core hobbyist.

Ouch! That's not much fun for a lot of charging. It'd be cool to permanently mount a little cam on board....Easyrider lives!

Only thing wrong is I need to stock up on batteries now!- only runs about 15 minutes between 4 hour charges!
I have to throw more money at the problem again!
