USC had five starters out with injuries and the Trojans were obviously looking ahead to the national title - which they still may get a piece of regardless of this fluke, thanks to their Rose Bowl blowout of Illinois. Turns out that this game means nothing to anyone but Stanford. Oh, and USC got revenge tonight by beating second-ranked Cardinal in basketball. Ouchie. We win!

We even needed a police escort to and from the field because the LAPD didn't believe U$C fans could control themselves! Football is great, but perhaps the focus of a collegiate career and subsequent life, should shift to something substantial. I suggest that the Trojans focus on their studies, because it seems we just took away the only great thing they had. Good luck to all teams for the remainder of this crazy season!
One thing I found disturbing was the ingrained depth of the Trojans' hatred of the Cardinal. I was playing in the Stanford band, having a jolly ol' time, and wherever I went were little U$C children denigrating themselves with the use of profanity, hand gestures, etc.
Yea, over the past 4 years at Stanford I noticed that everyone hated us with such a passion but we didn't really "hate" them. Probably because their football programs are the only thing they may have that is better than us.
