totally different!!! i actually did it and they are so serious about it. Unless you can actually sing well, you dont progress. you go into a small room with a guy at a desk, you dont get lyrics, you have to practice the song. when i sang he said i was good but i didnt have enough training and i was nervous so he didnt think it would be a good experience. they are nice but they are real with you.(which is good)

Hey, can anyone tell me how or where to sign up for the american idol experience? I'm going to Florida in June and I really want to participate in this but I can't find out where or how to sign up for it.. it doesn't even say in their FAQs...

@uare2cute u don't 'sign up' per se.What u do is,when you go to the AIE attraction,there's an entrance to go in towards the back & that's where it starts. (you can ask CM's around it to point u in the right direction.)You pretty much walk up to it like an attraction,really lol.Just make sure you audition early (well before noon IMO),because the performance slots can fill up quickly.Also,u need to be at least 14 to audition.Other than that, that's it! I'm auditioning too in June. See ya there! XD

American Idol Experience is a joke. I auditioned and the preliminary judge told me my voice was "too correct and musical theatre."  But I loved that because he basically told me I sound exactly how I want to sound.

It's not American Idol it's the American Idol experience. It's in Disney World. And the only reason she made it to the stage (where u sing in front of an audience) is becuz she's a reporter and they wanted to show people what it's like. If she wasn't a reporter, she wouldn't have made it. I've been there once in the audience and the singers there are actually amazing. I'm going again in less then a week and this time I'm gonna audition haha. =)
