amazing! clearly you need to spend hundreds of hours to master this effect but once you nailed it, you are a sound master! i can't wait for mine to arrive from the US.. i'm thinking about treating my Juno 6 arpeggios with this little beast.. so stoked!!
@BRAKESUK80 quite different stuff... jomox is a real sound destroyer/processor... it can sound really industrial and "german" (if u understand what i mean)... kaosspad (i have the KP2) is a much more subtle unit... i use KP a lot on vocals and to do some delay-kind of effects (rewind sound, cool reverbs, some delay phsychedelic madness) while i use the jomox more for distorting sound, creating strange and analog-kind textures... KP2 would offer you the classic efx, the jomox is more crazy
I have one of these. It's a pretty radical little box! It's capable of some neat effects, but it's very hard to control and use it in any kind of predictable way. Often it's all too easy to get it to launch into tweeter eating feedback..
In less time than it takes for your ears to stop bleeding, you realise it has rather limited practical use. However, it is certainly unique!
Although I'm a big fan and proud owner of a T-Resonator and do admit that its really over the top, unfortunately, it doesn't really cut it with a guitar - attempted to use it with one; the results weren't terribly tempting.
I've now used this about an year and I'm still able to find new purposes for it. I've lately used it a lot with tr-606 and x0xb0xes. I tested SYB-5 some time ago and it's quite good sounding little thing. Is it digital system? If it is, maybe feedback might destroy it's a/d converters?
I believe it was around 250€. I don't want to sound like salesman, because I'm not :) Anyway, it is quite fun system and I bought it from Thomann, Germany.
I recently got one and must say its just mind-boggling! The amount of loops and effects you can get from this are nearly endless and it never ceases to amaze on the sounds it can create. At the moment, just ordered a tone generator from 4MS pedals just to hook it up to the Jomox - the possibilities are endless!
I just found those 4ms pedals and they look very interesting. If you can, please send a video what kind of things it can do. I've considered to order Sleepdrone type of audio source, but those look so fun...
I have a SleepDrone5, check out my video. It's a pretty versatile little guy when you use the 3rd switch to mod the volume for each oscillator, thus mixing all the oscillators together to one unique drone. I hear the 4MS guys are cheeseballs but you never know.
The T-R is too cool. I loved how you found your groove then added a beat; really enhanced the perceived value of it while contemplated what I might be able to do with it. That little box is a trip.
Thank you, i'm waiting spedition of my LP. I've seen some video of re-20...very cool! Can you suggest me other effect box? I want to compare, and then buy one of this (for now I love T-Resonator...mmm)
I would take T-Resonator because it could be used in so many situations and it is something completely different with it's phase shifting knobs and feedbacks. I have heard some moogerfoogers and they are quite ok (I have only tested those in shop). Get T-Resonator first and then dozen of moogerfoogers + moog controlling unit :)
This box is great for creating loops and sampling those. btw, I wish there would be better audio in Youtube; next time I'll try to create more compatible video than dvd.
Hi guy, I've just bought a Moog Little Phatty! In your opinion the T-Resonator is a good addition for effect like delay, chorus, reverb etc with Moog? I'm very interesting also for the possible combination of other function! Can you tell me your opinion?
Congratulations about your new Little Phatty! I tested LP some weeks ago and it was so beautiful machine. T-R produces very organic sounds and it can be used as traditional effect box too. I have used it with guitar and it creates a sound, which is hard to describe. I've even feeded some cold-sounding softsynths through it. T-R sounds a bit muddy, fat and "old", but also boost hight frequencies. There are better effect boxes, but it works ok as classic effect box too. Btw, try re-20 with LP...
love that thing ...

oooooo you do my bank balance no good posting vids like this.
do you have a boss SYB-5? cos i reckon if you do the feedback loop on the SYB-5 as an input to the T-resonator that would be awesome.....

what da hell is this? this alien machine can make sound from itself? or need an external sound ( syntesizer) for make crazy sounds?
takikua69 2 years ago
Hi, it can create sounds itself (from feedbacks), but creating some kind of synced groove requires audio input.
