@SVKmellow (depending on where you live) try putting it inside your waistband on a 45 degree angle in the front ( left or right side depending on what hand is your dominant one) this is called the "kidney" carry it is the most concealed way to effectively carry a baton and still have it within reach. all you do is wih your non dominant hand lift your shirt and with your dom. hand pull and open the baton. if you have an ESP or similar RUBBER handled baton there is a company called

@SVKmellow triplek (just add a dot com) and they sell a clip for ESP batons that allows an easier IWB (inside the waistband) carry. i personally have one for my baton and i even put one on my MK3 can of pepper spray works GREAT and is cheaper than any quality sheath/ pouch than i have seen for either item! @MischievousGames I bent a non-hardened ESP during training just by hitting a bag, not even a hard wood.If you want to be good with your baton you have to train, and if you bend one anytime you train its expensive.I train every day, that would be $70 the week with a cheap baton.That's more than a hardened ESP.Once its bent you dont have as much control over your strikes and you lose power too.

Believe me even if that would still hurt someone you dont want your baton to bend during a fight.

The chinese and Taiwanese batons that you used are not really the ones the chinese uses, the domestic batons that we use is called GAS batons, which are almost identical to ASP batons.

Hey, YRG baton from China makes high quality hardened batons for 25$ for the old model and more expensive for the newer model.

Older models don't come with box and the blueing is usually 75-80% still there and there may be some rust on the inside.

@TheZuikaku Mate, did you saw non-hartened ESP? it bend exactly like any other. What you buying from EPS is not hartened steel. You buy perfect rubber handling that everyone can get familiar with. You mechanical clip at the bottom of your baton that you can adjust to make sure it will always go out as you wish. After that, if you want to, you can pay some extra cash to get hartened one. (As I did) ESP rules.

The thing is with ASP is all models are designed for professional use so they are all 4140 heat treated hardened steel, ASP dont make non hardened steel models.

Other Industry leading manufacturers that are better than ESP like Monadnock and Casco they make their hardened steel batons using 4130 heat treated steel which is not as superior as ASP but still way stronger than non hardened steel. The non hardened steel ones by ESP are designed as a cheap alternative for just self defense. ASP is the best because they are the strongest on the market

huh well ok lets look at it this way. A persons skull and a peice of log are two very different strengths and even with one of the non hardned ones unless you are chopping wood they are combat effective. Now another variable is cost! the cost of a asp/esp hardned baton is around 80-90 dollors where as a 26" expandable baton that is not hardned steel is around 30. I have a cheap baton and an expensive one and have never had a problem with my cheap one in any combat situation. just so ya kno.
