Caspian was actually my least favorite book, but Adamson did such a spectacular job. I LOVED this movie! I think the reason it was difficult for me to read when I was a kid was because the plot was harder to care about. War is dark, of course, which makes a darker movie compared to the first one. When I re-read Caspian as an adult, I appreciated the plot more. If you haven't read the books, do so in any order, but if you want some surprises, read them in the original copyright date order!!!

My friend was also confused by the films' order. If you look at the original copyright dates, it's in the following order: TLionWW, PCaspian, VoyageDT, SChair,TheHorse&His Boy, The MagiciansN, and TLBattle, which was how they were originally printed. They were reordered chronologically later. Though the original order may not make sense right away, it creates lots of surprises. Adamson is not directing the next movie though...I wish he was since he did a fantastic job.

actually, in chronological order, "the magicians nephew" comes first.. then the lion, withc and the wardrobe. after that its prince caspian. and yes all 4 kids are in the book as well as the movie. the next book "voyage of dawn treader" is actually being made right now. they hope to make all 7 books.

i dont get it..

in the book : its prince caspian first before the lion the witch and the wardrobe...

how come the movie is diff.??

but its ok... atleast theres a movie...

but i already have the complete books.. and in the prince caspian only peter and lucy showed up..

how come in the movie four of them showed up...

I loved The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe...It's like my Favorite movie, Doubtless an instant classic.I am absolutely thrilled that they've done Prince Caspian and I hope that they adhere to the Spirit of the first movie...If so, I just won't be able to buy enough movie tickets for my family and friends.Thank you Andrew Adamson for making another...and I read some of the negative criticism about the first:it was totally baseless.Kudos!!!!!

This is so funny because in the BBC version, Caspian is a young boy in the movie, then he becomes a young adult in The Voyage of the Dawn Trader and then he's an old man in The Silver Chair. Err, wha? XD

C.S. Lewis must be tussling in his grave. These books shouldn't be film adapted at all.

"Tussling" in his grave? Really? He's struggling, fighting or wrestling with someone in his grave?

I am a great lover of these books (they're basically my childhood), and I'm SO EXCITED that they're being made into films. I kind of wish the LOTR people had done them, though- Peter Jackson would have done a fantastic job. They still look amazing, though.

This is bullshit. For anyone who has actually read the Narnia Chronicles you'd notice that Disney is skipping all the books that arent full of combat. God I hate Disney, C.S. Lewis would be disgusted to see what they've done with his books.

UH, no... For anyone who HAS actually read the books, you will notice that they are making them in the order that the books were originally published. I hope they make all seven.

I did'nt know they were published in that order but I have read all the books atleast 5 times each and I notice when they're messing things up.

The books were re-numbered sometime in the past 20 years so they could be read "chronologically." They were originally (using common abbreviations) LWW, PC, VDT, SC, HHB, MN, and LB. But Disney & Walden Media are still messing around with the story somewhat. It was okay in LWW. We'll have to see in PC.
