@pearsonba350 Ya, it was so hush hush we didn't even risk the trip from Portland, to our major disappointment, but we were able to make the second delivery. Plus an AN-124 and two Dreamlifters to boot (and a 787 and E-3C at BFI!!! :)
@pdxaviationfan And I was hoping to catch the second 787 delivery- missed the first one, I was working on line number 48 in the factory. Never heard about it until afterwards. I saw the Antinov, I'm trying to find out when it leave, might try to catch it taking off.
Wow! I almost thought there was something wrong with the sound on the recorders cam. That plane was virtually silent! I'm impressed. I loved the salutatory wing dip after liftoff. Looked great on such a massive machine. Glad this aircraft is finally being delivered. Here's hoping for a better future for it!
@ScottysAIr We in the factory got jipped out of a three day celebration, and there was no formal announcement about the delivery until after the fact, but it was still cool. Sure glad I got up and read the news to see she was launching that morning...
@funat130mph It was pretty cool. And yes, that was a new 777 for BA- I've got some footage of it landing, just haven't put it up yet. Hopefully in a day or so...
