@sagrathserbia96 I have found all best items for melee when i was level 86. best items, i mean that armor(whole), that sword, bunch of one handed swords, undying warlord set (whole). you can increase your chance of finding these items by wearing things which give you chance to find magic items. thats what i did.
@SICKMAN90ify The armor will not drop when you are below level 80. Yes, the armor can be found at zaramoths horns and in kalrathian desert. If you are trying to find a specific item you can try you luck in the amanlu arena. After each batlle you will get a key. There are 10 keys for 10 rooms, in each room there is a big chest. You can save before opening all chests and then open them. you may find item you want. if you failed to find it, just load and start opening chests again. Good luck !
@sabin4444 I agree. Even with highest defense, the line should dip when Valdis hits him. I've played this game since it started, played it through at least a hundred times (ds1, plus mods and ds2 plus mods) and it's fairly clear this is God Mode. Even when a character can fully heal automatically the red line still dips when you take a hit. i have nothing against god mode, I love it, especially for exploring. Nothing wrong with it at all. don't get me wrong.
@KJHamnik It's not a god mode. I played on elite alone with my dual wielder melee with warlord set with all items, and I managed to kill Valdis alone, without drinking a potion. I had a big health steal, so i didn't need potions. His armor is stronger than mine (warlord's cage) so he wasn't damaged that much, maybe a little. And Valdis is one of the weakest enemies i ever had, it was a lot harder to fight those revenants at the zaramoth's horns, trust me.
@frost279367 No, you can find it without a mod. It,s a two handed sword. Rahvan's Sunsword, damage is I think 121-183, plus it gives you 260 health,42-53 fire damage, +25% health regeneration, 14% melee resistance, and +4 to fortitude, overbear and smite.

I really don't know how he could use this equipment. You can use this armor and other stuff when you are level 75 or higher. Notice that he is level 64 at the beginning of the video.

Im very confused about warriors. With dual wield, i equiped two LvL 15 set maces, but my DPS was lower than using Shield + Weapon. So i did 3 Half Giants (All LvL 25), with the same NPC gear grade, 1 Two Handed, 1 Sheild/Sword, And 1 Dual Wield. After some hours playing, all i can say is (in DPS terms): Best Weapon~> Two Handed.Why ? cuz you can kill a group of enemies very fast, you can put some Skill Points in defensive skills and make it your tanker and a Special Skill deals a lot of damage.
If anyone needs some custom mods for items you can pm me and I can make you an item or 2. you just say how will it look(you can only coose to look like one of the items in game,i cant make a new graphics).Just for you to know,The Sword of Zaramoth is laggy to use with normal character but it can still be used.

@soonkueh half giants are handle big swords faster than humans but your warrior is human so how come hes so fast. Humans are better with shield and dual blades. Can you tell me how did your human get that fast with that big sword. Is it because youve completed the gear?

@lobofaca707 No way, it's not bad at all. By completing quests, you can end up with 9 extra skill points per playthrough. That totals 127 to beat the game entirely. If you're 2-Handed, you should definitely put a point each in Dual Wield and Barricade, just to get the skills behind them. Reinforced Armor is great for defense, and helps you get and upgrade the Whirling Strike power (the one he keeps using).
Alacrity improves the attack speed of ANY melee weapon, and Fierce Renewal improves power recovery time.
Also, you should never max a skill through points. You can easily get extra points from equipment for just about every melee skill. If you're playing the game without the expansion (as he is), that makes it seriously easy to have a handful of 20s.
As for powers, a 2-Handed user should definitely max Brutal Attack, Staggering Blow, and Whirling Strike, possibly even Warcry.
Maxing those powers requires 80 skill points. The other 47 you can do what you want with. I always make sure my characters have all their relevant powers before I start spreading my points around.
It really is easy to create a godly melee character. I mean, look at him. He definitely has Reinforced Armor, Alacrity, Fortitude, and Toughness at pretty high levels, and he barely takes any damage. Health Steal and Regen. help with that, too.

Hey, could you be more precise on the items on your warrior? I have searched for them on item sets/listings from DS2 and found nothing similar to Mythrill armour or the Rahvan's Sunsword. Just wanted to look at stats etc... Think you could post those or give me a link to see the items? Thanks

It depends on your preferred playing style. One handed with shield improves your survivability as your defence will be higher, while two-handed weapons are for damage dealing. Dual wielding one handed weapons also deals damage equal or higher than two handed weapons.
I used a mod which removes the requirements of all items, so I could equip them. I didn't want to waste time training for it, especially since I've already completed the game, so I used it to make this video.
have you noticed that little green bar on the lower right of screen, near the map? what is it? and i see some green dialogs during the cuts in the vid... and i think its godmode, cuz i find some parts of dis armor and my health can go down to HALF!!! its a cheat, like +drlife or something. but the music is good:D
the green bar shows the battery life of my laptop, so as to notify me if its running low on power and I can save the game. And no, i didn't use the cheat, read the comments below. Btw, you need the sword too, cause it helps in health regen. And glad u like the music :)
that is the battery life. If your playing on a laptop and you are away from your charger it just lets you know the amount of battery life you have left.

dude, maybe you should ACTUALLY try and play this game with the armour and weapon before making such an accusation. It is true that you can never be protected perfectly, else the game will not be balanced. I did not use the drlife cheat(there's no fun in it anyway), and as proof, watch the health bar at time 4:22 and 5:48.

well we can say goodbye to party mode in DS3 since Chris Taylor says hes fat up with it and will make it a single hero action... sucks to me since DS was unique because of this party and RPG mode remove that and you get a DIablo simmilar game, you had the choise of soloing like you did but still...

Nice try but it's impossible for high armour to even deflect magic damage, and since when is mythril armour itself unique? What are the special names then?

i think its whirling strike which is a spell you get towards the Two handed weapons side of the tree

Hey, could you be more precise on the items on your warrior? I have searched for them on item sets/listings from DS2 and found nothing similar to Mythrill armour or the Rahvan's Sunsword. Just wanted to look at stats etc... Think you could post those or give me a link to see the items? Thanks

The power is called whirling strike, which requires fortitude and ciritcal strike mastery.

haha... i know.. i just downloaded the game yesterday, thank god i downloaded the 2gb file in 1 hour... i straightaway played the game... it was hard to control at first... and i just found out this game was 4 years back.

Two-handed weaps are they better then one handed with shield?

It depends on your preferred playing style. One handed with shield improves your survivability as your defence will be higher, while two-handed weapons are for damage dealing. Dual wielding one handed weapons also deals damage equal or higher than two handed weapons.

Yes, that is true. But I find Rahvan's Sunsword better in terms of looks, and it goes with the armour, so I used it for this video.

I used a mod which removes the requirements of all items, so I could equip them. I didn't want to waste time training for it, especially since I've already completed the game, so I used it to make this video.

what type of laptop do you have? I got a HP dv9700 and it runs a little slow when I do power moves and body parts fly everywhere.

have you noticed that little green bar on the lower right of screen, near the map? what is it? and i see some green dialogs during the cuts in the vid... and i think its godmode, cuz i find some parts of dis armor and my health can go down to HALF!!! its a cheat, like +drlife or something. but the music is good:D

the green bar shows the battery life of my laptop, so as to notify me if its running low on power and I can save the game. And no, i didn't use the cheat, read the comments below. Btw, you need the sword too, cause it helps in health regen. And glad u like the music :)

that is the battery life. If your playing on a laptop and you are away from your charger it just lets you know the amount of battery life you have left.

its because in the earlier part of the video, i did not lose much health, so you would naturally assume the same throughout the video. Nvm, I'm glad that you've seen the truth for yourself. And dun worry, its just a game :)

weak sword...without drlife you would have been dead long time..whatever the def is you cannot be protected so perfect :) a enchanted legendary sword would be best :-??

dude, maybe you should ACTUALLY try and play this game with the armour and weapon before making such an accusation. It is true that you can never be protected perfectly, else the game will not be balanced. I did not use the drlife cheat(there's no fun in it anyway), and as proof, watch the health bar at time 4:22 and 5:48.
