  • I've read all three books, I've seen all three Swedish adaptions.I used to be of the opinion that American "MOVIE" remakes were always worse, La Femme Nikita, Nightwatch, Let the right one in, spring to mind.especially Nikita, which was a scene by scene rehash.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to this, it seems to be faithful to the story, If by watching this film, it drives more people to pick up the books who otherwise may not have done so, well, that can only be a good thing....

  • its a great trilogy, but this trailer sucks!!!!

  • why the did they make another version from the original on the same lines.

american assholes trying to cash in on everything when hollywood has run out of idias.

  • Does anyone know if Daniel Craig has a sex scene in the film?

  • cludo the film!!

  • Their fundamental problem is that it didn't need to be remade. The books are AWSOME!!!!! And the Swedish film version is REALLY good. Saying that Daniel Craig was a good choice for Mikael Blomkvist and thankfully they kept Lisbeth Salander nice and freaky. But in the Swedish version, she was kept freaky and sexy at the same time. They just need to keep the bad guys jerk factor up, not just the fact that they are not nice people. I think I'll watch it though. Great story.

  • can't fucking americans bear to watch a foreign film?

  • This "looks" crap

  • is the book any good??

  • come on guys this is david fincher, i have high hopes

  • So a book that was made to a TV series in Sweden, then edited into a feature film is now being remade by Hollywood into mainstream movie. I hope they know what there doing because if they fuck this up they are going to piss a lot of people off! Also, I know it probably doesn't happen but the part when he says "You know what to do" should be followed by her beating that bastard to a bloody pulp or she would of in my version. It'll be something to see after Christmas at least.

  • i say remakes are 90% better most of the time from the originals

  • @omgitsharvey1 i wouldnt say 90% of the time...maybe half the time the remakes are better ..sometimes the orginal is better.

  • i'm annoyed they've made a remake, like why?? whats wrong with the original, plus no one can beat noomi rapace. original was just the best.

  • No Daniel Craig.

  • wonder if they've omitted the rape scene

  • Is this a re-make ... why bother when the original as fine.

  • ...why?

  • 3 minute trailer? lol

  • its david fincher....it WiLL be awesome

  • Steven Berkoff ?

  • Soundtrack sounds like it's going to be siiiiiiiiicccckkkkk

  • the original one is good...daniel craig does not fit ant the girl in the original movie was far better..............

  • @MysteryGuy86 Daniel Craig fits the role perfectly, retard. Sounds like you haven't even read the book.

  • I have the same tapers as her :3

  • @andysmadeofwax I want them :c

  • This trailer revealed way too much, it feels like i just watched the movie.

  • It seems a bit shot for shot,

but gonna love it anyway, even if just for the soundtrack...

  • loved the original but this looks really good too :) I can't wait to see it

  • NoT a convincing as Noomi

  • I just don't get why they didn't get Noomi Rapace to play her again. She speaks perfect English. And I really doubt that this actor will be better, she could be, but Rapace's performance was one of the main reasons the original films were so popular.

  • what a disgusting dyke.

  • I've read the books and I've watched the original Swedish films but I'm still looking forward to this. The first film is incredibly overrated because of Noomi Rapace's performance. She's brilliant (and so is Michael Nyquist for that matter) but I didn't think the film was particularly good. The pacing was terrible (it was one of the book's greatest strengths) and it felt like a made for tv production at times. I'm not a fan of remakes as a rule, but David Fincher is brilliant so I'm hopeful.

  • @itsonlysound It was a made for TV production that got edited together, so you're right.

  • @efsb So it aired as a multi parter on Swedish tv? If they cut a lot of footage to make it a feature it certainly explains why the pacing was so messed up.

  • @itsonlysound I believe so - IMDB lists it as such.

  • EVERY IMAGE IS A WORK OF ART!

  • Can't wait to see this - I loved the trilogy.

  • I've seen the original already.

  • I loved the original Girl with the dragon tattoo and the girl who played with fire and im guessing i will enjoy the girl who kicked the hornets nest or whatever its called all 3 of them are compelling and good but i think they should have just left it if you dont want to watch the swedish one with subtitles just watch the english dubbed one it'll be much better than this adaptation , in my opinion that is.

  • when i heard they were doing a hollywood remake i was worried because the original was so good but i think this may end up being better since there's some stuff in it that they left out of the swedish one

  • how can people comment about a film that's not released yet. when i learned that david fincher was directing my heart skipped a beat because this type of film suits his dark style, just look at zodiak, if ever there was a 'hollywood' director that could do this justice its him

  • I might watch this as I hear theres a hot chick with a sexy dragon tatoo ........

  • looks good in a Hollywood way the Swedish films are good but it is nice to relax in your own language. Especially if like me you need to rely on the subs. Salander looks good perfect just as i had her.

  • looks better than i thought it would, but still i wish people would learn to except foreign film. remakes like this are destroying the chances of people understanding that more than just england and america make movies

    .

  • Sweden wins this with ease.

  • I'm watching this just for that soundtrack, Social Network soundtrack remains one of my favourite albums ever.

  • i think it looks very good to be honest.

  • Love the books. Looking forward to the film.

  • I thought the title was a reference to the Mortal Kombat dragon...

    Nonetheless, looks intriguing

  • @Photon2552 Mortal Kombat 2K12 is coming out soon. Looking forward to it.

  • Thumbs up if you saw the title and thought of Rose from American Dragon

  • looks good but trailer too long lol

  • quite like the person for Lisbeth

  • So many small minded people being prejudice towards a film they haven't even seen yet. Why don't you haters go watch it, you may even prefer it to the original... Just a thought.

    I hope it is good!

  • @CharGuitarGirl

The thing is, though, people who've seen the original already know the ending of the remake, and so the mystery and surprise won't be there. Plus, Hollywood will inevitably omit ALL the sexual elements that the original had. They'll keep the violence, though.

  • @CharGuitarGirl I agree, I loved the original but I will also give ths a go. if it is shit you can always walk out but I think there were some elements of the book that the original missed, maybe they will get them here.

  • @armandin2048 Exactly my thinking.. The books are great & the original film is very good but its far from perfect. Im interested to see Finchers adaptation of it. I'm optimistic it will be awesome!

  • Yeah, I do find it a little strange to recreate a fairly recent successful film. But if he's done it well, what's the problem? I don't turn down any good movies.

  • It's Mikaeil blomkweist.

  • i thinks itll be stupid i rather watch the Swedish version with the words on the bottom that a remake and Lisbeth in this one looks nasty

  • @musicplayer620 your'e probably right, the original is great, how many remakes of movies have been made lately most if not all of them awful.

  • Looks good, It will have to be to compare well against the original ground breaking cinema introduction of Lizbeth, and the original subtitled for English speakers. The story has a strong narrative, and this looks like they were able to learn from the mistakes of Let me in - the American version of "Let the right one in". And at least they haven't changed the location as far as I know

  • I love the books, didn't enjoy the original movies. Everything about them was cheap and grey. And ugly!

This looks a lot better. And why is being Bond any better than this role? This is a great role for any actor. Lisbeth looks great too - glad they didn't choose a Hollywood glamour-puss.

    Can't wait to see this.

  • I prefer the original film. Makes for a much more engaging film.

  • @mhwatts1 Have you even watched this version yet? How the fuck do you know?

  • Annoys me a little, but damn I love other people's visual interpretations of books.

  • Looks like it's very well done. Looks similar to the book. Can't wait!

  • Fincher is a good director, but what was he thinking? Did he really think he could do this justice? The only interest I have in seeing this is out of a morbid curiosity at how badly it is compared to the original.

  • daniel craig, james bond to this! goin down in the world mate
