  • Honestly I can listen to both those tattooed up losers and Li Yundi as long as the music is good and he is brilliant...I'm P.O.ed that they cut the piece though...really???

  • Nice! :)

  • Damn! Cutting the Scherzo like that is like ripping off the legs of an athlete and keep thinking he still can run! what an awful action!

  • 很平易近人

  • stupid video... Chopin's music is not for a comedy or a clip.

    And this is NOT complete

  • Beautiful (shorter) version.

    Typical MTV ending.

    lol

  • ...Maybe a woman thinks that a strenuous workout like Scherzo No 2 by Chopin would be a good foreplay for the guy before the major symphonic movement for her, so as to not mess up her makeup and hair?...

  • @gozhn No it isn't, it's brilliant

  • I just think it's a strange choice of piece.. they make it look like the girl is in love with him or something, and this piece has so much energy and temperament...

  • MTV ? LOL...

  • that's not the whole scherzo...what the fuck is goin on.?

  • that's because it is a music video. watch your language.

  • cringe! I hate the way great classical musicians are being promoted like pop stars. The worst thing is that its just making money for the agents, managers and promoters involved, but does nothing for the integrity of the artist them selves.

  • yeah wouldnt want him to make money or anything. it seems in your mind pianists should just work for free.

  • Think of it differently. The music isn't being changed. Maybe you can look at it as if modern culture is being shown classical music..which is good! If a hot girl can get someone to enjoy a Scherzo, so be it...the guy enjoys the scherzo. It's not like it's demeaning to the music..that's what Baby Einstein does.

  • It has a big impact for the classical music era and I guess Yundi makes a living out of it :)

  • @jonnybosch1988 Buddy...Classical musicians are promoted like pop stars because they actually play REAL music...not the talking to a beat that those crappy ass rappers do, and not the off key, ear piercing, glass breaking singing that majority of pop musicians do today. This is real music, and musicians like Yundi Li actually have a talent, unlike the pop wannabe artists of today.

  • those girls arent even hot

  • that's not the point...=='

  • but that doesnt change it

  • They are so beatutiful, or, at leats that's what I think, and MAN, THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!!

  • well what is the point? why have girls on tv if theyre just gonna stand there they arent saying anything so theyre no there to show intelligence and they arent hot so whats the point of them being there?

  • They're just being graceful. What do you want them to be doing? Calculus homework and surgery? It's just a calm peace...a woman relaxing is good company.

  • lol people are really getting upset about that comment maybe i was being insensitive and a bit sexist but looking back i havent changed my mind at all. they could have found some cute chinese or japanese girls to googly eye him. all the asian girls in my school are cute the only one here is at 3:00 (i know she not asian)

my point is its TV and the girls should be hot nobody wants to look at plain faces on TV

  • ugly girls like anybody

  • I actually like this video! you guys need to calm down, those who disagree - your all nuts, this is one of the new ways to promote classical music! so what if ppl are attracted to him? are you jealous?

  • I'm embarrassed to have watched this. MTV is the cats nuts.

  • If MTV ruins Yundi Li AND Rocky Horror Picture Show, so help me FSM I will tear down that moronic conglomerate.

  • it shouldnt be titled scherzo. this is avery complex piece with alot of different emotions. it sounds like Chopin might have been having a nervous break down when he wrote this, like all these feelings piled up on him at ones especially at 3:36

  • I completely agree!

  • sei troppo prevedibile Sei una ''persona'' con un programma inserito.

  • Well, I appreciate classical music a lot and I love the way Yundi Li plays it. But I think in his mv there is a trend of becoming more and more superficial, many of his works include the attraction from girls. In my opinion, this is just in cater to some modern listeners' pleasure and in a worse condition, it is a deterioration of classical music.

  • That is his image, the "Prince of Piano" just like the typical Prince on white horse in fairy tales

  • it has always been a trend in classical music though. Liszt was well know for his good looks, and women loved him. Paganini was like a rock star, touring and was considered and sex icon to a degree

  • fact: the piano is an acoustic aphrodisiac

  • if that's true I'd be surrounded by females... yet... -sigh-

  • wth

  • capitalism....brrr

  • Pointless to have videos of piano playing? It's a great break from those no-talent underachieving loosers who cover themselves in tatoos, makeup, jewelry, and singing crap with whores hanging all over them. This is talent, and he will last forever, while those other loosers will fade out in a few years when the world is sick of them.

  • Thanks for this - real talent should also be on MTV - where it is in short supply

  • @3screamingkids Frankly, as long as he plays like this i don't care if he has tatoos, makeup, jewelry, and singing crap with whores hanging all over him.

  • My favourite scherzo of the 4. I did a concert where I played this with a few other pieces. Such an amazing piece to play. Good work Yundi Li.

  • lol

  • His playing is so gOoD!he makes my heart melt!=]..but why do you people hate it so much?anyone care to explain?i'm really confused =[

  • what's wrong with this video.. I don't understand u all.. really!

  • i like him as pianist but those videos ... omg

  • I agree! ...

  • Gotta make money somehow : /

  • So they cut out about half the piece... It ends in the middle for goodness sake. Way to go, MTV.

  • Yea, MTV just destroys Classical music to get attention. Sad ain't it? Its like paparazzi, when any celebrity goes to a shop or goes out of their house, you'll find out that paparazzi is around the corner waiting for a good camera shot.

  • Why does everyone hate this, sure its commercialised, but the music is fantastically played--there is fire, bravura, lyricism in this rendition. There is a reason Li won the world's most important piano competition, you know.

  • lol...i didn't think chopin could be this hilarious! Should've guessed. it's mtv. duh.

  • I don't get it, what's so funny?

  • well, the video looks like a bad commercial for a cheap audio set. The video is so bad I can't stop LMAO even though I like Yundi Li's playing. The producer of that video should be very sorry to make such a ridiculous look out of Yundi Li.

  • oh... I see, thanks for replying

  • ridicolous....ihihihih

  • haha, im sure chopin wont. why would he need to care about his music on earth, when he has now all of god's music notes at his disposal? heh, no he wont.

  • this is great
