  • The Songs we all share in the long run This is the song of us all

  • can anyone please tell what he is recording himself on? and how it saves his recordings so he can be a one man band please? XD

  • @MrRocked123 instruments are are recorded on seperate tracks during the studio sesions and then mixing and putting it all together during the production stage (usually by the sound engineer and artist himself) ..

  • @dewy200884 ah i see what you mean, thanks for the info

  • Paul is so AWESOME

  • Seeing the inside of that studio, and all that old gear , plus having P McC explain it all, is an analog nut / tech monkey's wet dream! McCartney just never runs out of gas, does he? This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long, long, time. got to watch this one over and over again!

  • Man, would have loved to be there for this. Tickets must have cost... ?

  • @JoDeePurkeypile Only friends and selected fans could attend

  • @JoDeePurkeypile

    Tickets to this are priceless!

  • Chaos and Creation is a GREAT album!

  • Hey Paul....Han Solo called.....he wants his outfit back.

  • I would give anything to go to one of these but hosted by George Harrison

  • does anybody know the name of the typography he uses at the begining of the video? it´s very cool cause that `Paul McCartney´ can be read backward and forward =)

  • @catchytune909 I think it's called an ambigram.

  • when I saw this video, my initial thought was something along the lines of "ahh it's cool that paul mccartney is playing at abbey road." it's funny, the place has become such an icon on its own and has had so many great musicians play there that I forgot for a second the reason it's so well known- george and paul and ringo and and john

  • thank you thank you thank you for posting this, i´ve been trying to find this since i ever saw on tv

  • He is a fantastic man.

  • @jandirafeijo Isn't he? :D

  • wish my music class was like this :)

  • Paul and Ringo need to do for George what they did for John. Take a few of his demos and complete them. Thumbs up if you agree

  • @BL80488 they kind of did....but it was his son dahni(and beatles) that finished georges abum....i think

  • @BL80488

I disagree because John wouldn't be on the recording and it's not The Beatles without John.

  • @NeilFraudstrong Well dont call it the beatles but they owe it to George to do that.

  • @BL80488 i dont think George has any demos to be finished, that or i havent looked hard enough

  • @BL80488 Yoko probaly wouldn't allow it. She'll make up something so Paul and Ringo can't.

  • I really can't understand how this video have 17 dislikes!

  • This shows he really appreciated the 3 of his bandmates..

  • it skipsfrom 6:10 to 6:12

    one second is lost

  • Love "Friends To Go"!

  • 2:36 you can see all the memories of paul in that look

  • When he said he could still see the guys I felt so sorry for him, he must really miss them :'(

  • BEautiful, but you could have coded the audio in higher quality, so there wouldn't be so much hiss

  • i love u Pauly <3

  • 16 people never lived

  • excellent

  • Paul performance with accoustic guitar is very entertaining.i like his introduction of Abbey Road Studio and the Beatles.

  • What is the definition of an asshole? I'll tell you.......... ANYone that hates Paul McCartney.

  • "On The Other Side " is my fav from the album, Nice performance.

  • Chaos & Creation is a huge record in my life. Changed my thinking and composing

  • I love this song...

  • We had the the visit of 16 deaf and insensitive people that put their thumbs down

    :P

  • @ALEJANDRIA7 Naww they just did it to try and even the odds or discredit the vid, but hey gotta try harder, muchhhh harder

  • Comment removed

  • They came in as twenty year old kids, and proceed to change the world.

  • Plugging one of his best solo albums. Not a dud on it.

  • shut the freak up about my baby!!!!!! i love macca, and i will for the rest of my life!!!!! id give almost anything in the world to meet him.....sooooooSHUT UP!!!!!

  • I'd have given my left nut to be in that studio that night. Make it both nuts.

  • Left rules!

  • this is absolutely tremendous, I thank you for this video from the bottom of my soul, massive massive beatles fan, I don't know how I aint managed to come across this in video stores anywhere, if you could tell me where to get it , would be very much appreciated thanks once again fopstra..God Bless mate

  • It's so amazing to think that at some point he was a 17 year old kid who knew nothing about the recording industry. I have a hard time imagining him as anything other than an icon.

  • Paul is a musical wonder and John was courageous to pick someone who was musically superior, it helped that Paul was younger than John at the time. John was able to write lyrics that were personal and relevant, this seemed to be his gift, you hear echoes of this in Paul and George at times.

  • stop war Paul and John!!!They are fantastic

  • who composed fixing a hole can do everything

  • Elsker den "video" - så den først for nylig, men det gør den ikke mindre god. Han er da genial - manden!

  • Go Paul, doing if for the lefties! =]

  • john lennon sucks paul mccartney is way better

  • @cybercop112 john does suck. he sucks the imagination out of you.

  • @roscoegino john lennon sucks. he sucks heroine

  • Left handed musicians are so bad ass.......

  • @fasteddie847 your sucks.. really really.. if you want or not... this is the only true.. paul mccartney is the best!!!

  • @cesarmeral1982 That's because left handed musicians are so bad ass..........

  • Not all beatles recordings were made in Studio 2, they often used more than one at a time. Studios 1 & 3 were used too.

  • @nbchristian2 Paul says in this they made most of the recordings in that room. i think he knows more than you

  • They were the best

  • I can't believe I have never seen this! Paul looks so gorgeous and I just love the songs from this album.

  • genialidad indiscutible, desde México !PAUL IS THE BEST! CLARO QUE SI!! :)

  • Lennon is GREAT,Harrison is GREAT ...but Mccartney is the very creative...because he wrote, sing, play all...he is complete...he is an showman and an musician....

  • Paul is the best, and as far as the Beatles go, John and Paul are the greatest song writers in history. They played off each other and competed with one another during the Beatles. Their music is timeless and will still be listened to centuries from now. There is not another single or group that will be remembered in music all the rest are footnotes.

  • What a beautiful album. I didnt even know it existed haha i really need to buy this album somehow!!

    xx

  • @Serenamcflyfan you can buy chaos and creation on itunes. they might not have beatles stuff, but they sure have paul's solo albums!

  • his best music since the white album kh

  • I can actually hear the love me do part

  • He was born to perform !!! Peak of talent and perfection !!!

  • His voice sounds so good for his age holy shit!

  • Its funny how Paul's voice suddenly changes back to his beatles voice when he sings.

  • im probaly the biggest beatles fan at my age right now... but paul looks likes han solo

  • waaa thats genial Paul is G R E A T U N D O U B T E D L Y!!!!!! welcome to Mexico City waaaaaaaaaa

  • @ClementinaWilde Yeaahh! I'll be there too, row # 4!! It will be the best concert ever!!

  • excuse, do you know where if this material is included in any cd or dvd??? thanks

  • @quizzicalsebag yes it is on dvd...check out the local PBS station in your state

  • Great tune and history lesson!

  • I'm sure a concert of his old songs is a lot of fun but since 1970 and the present day it's been 40 years of mediocre paint-by-numbers average music, nothing to get excited about. He was good in the Beatles because he had at least one peer to tell him when his writing wasn't too good. The sign of a real genius is knowing when to stop. He should have become a film producer after the Beatles, that would have been creative. EMI Abbey Road is just a studio, not a shrine.

  • @hostingturan not a shrine? well.. you made me thinking about having my wedding day here :D

  • @hostingturan You sir, are wrong.

  • NOS VEMOS EL 27 DE MAYO PAUL VIVA MEXICO

  • voy a ir a ver a paul Siiiiiiii

    welcome to mexico city

  • he is awesome i love the Beatles they are awesome . Paul = god John=messiah George = disciple and ringo=angel

  • @TheMrFrazzle Haha so true.

  • @TheMrFrazzle FUCK U

  • @TheMrFrazzle Lennon is better for me

  • Let me tell you mine. Paul = God John = God Geroge = God Ringo = God

  • This is great. What a class act, so full of wit and wisdom.

  • Paul actually tried to sound like George on this song-it's a dynamite track-glad I have this album in my collection

  • @onthemoveagain no, he sounds like paul macartney....

  • McCartney was born June 18, 1942. This session was recorded in December 2005, making him sixty-three (63) and a half years old here on this video. Putting the math aside, I had the chance to see him live at Fenway Park last August (2008), and it was a spectacular show. Wow.

If anyone knows of a dvd version of this Abbey Road show, please let me know!

  • contact WGBH or PBS....pretty sure they can get you the dvd...as it was seen on PBS.

  • He sounds sooooooooooooooooooooo good

  • Great video. Thank you.

  • what kind of guitar does he use? and how much do they cost?

  • he's playing a Martin acoustic, they can cost up into the thousands.

  • a Left handed Martin D 28

  • amazing! it really sounds like George wrote that.

and he did actually, through Paul

  • 1:51 it looks like he dropped something down his guitar as he says "yes." just the reflection.

  • Paul look great don't you think...Is good to be a veg.

  • Paul. você é o melhor cantor e músico do universo, sem comentários!!!!!!

  • "Friends To Go" is the best song on this program...love this version of it!!!

  • He's actually 67

  • He was about 63 when he did this, he did this in 2005 with Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.

  • True....but now he's 67 almost 68.

  • mary jane and vegetarism kept him young

  • @nico69l1 And a lot of botox.

  • @Dodo251 uh, sorry no....botox doesn't leave wrinkles...

  • @nico69l1 LOL you give him his moptop back and he'll look like a wierd beatle...or would he? Na Maybe Not...then again yes...or ur opinion heck if i know

  • @nico69l1 Umm, maybe a few facial touch-ups

  • @manbigus

    No, actually.

  • @nico69l1 and surgery

  • @nico69l1

    I'd rather say - plastic surgeons :P

  • that's a cool ambigram

  • Thats a 63 year old man singing!

  • both are good in their own right and their songs WILL LIVE ON FOREVERR!!!!

  • would have loved to be at this gig at Abbey Road!!

  • this crowd is lammmme

  • trouble with this was ....there were no musicians in the audience ....

    just Heathers fashion pals ....

where was Paul Weller .?..Oasis ?....Super Furry animals? etc

....Heather thought they'd be too rowdy ...

    and hey no atmosphere.......!!!

first Yoko and then heather .....

  • paul doesn't like oasis

  • really?

  • scandalouzmegz ,

You say John Didn't have great tunes?

Are we listening to the same Beatles?

  • YouBoob85 what are you a fucking cave man

  • 666flippy, you sound wise for your years,a word of freindly advise, try not to let life get complicated, keep it simple, this one of the many philosophy's the beatles lived by, i've been listening to them for at least 45 yrs' (and yes i'm an old fart), but i can tell you one thing, it's true great things happen with age, take it all in, FAIR THEE WELL,, MY YOUNG FREIND...

  • ughhh?

if you dont like the beatles, why are you here?

  • Huh? I love the beatles. My comment was a reply to beackbeates comment. Read it and tell me it doesnt make you cringe.

  • paul's voice has gotten pretty interesting.

  • This Room should be made into a Shrine.

  • It already has my friend by all the great music that was recorded in #2.

  • the beatles, bob dylan, neil young, ccr, csny, buffalo spingfield, lynyrd skynyrd ect.... best ever.

  • u forgot the eagles

  • I recently watched this!

    Omg, it was mind-blowing!

Just listening to his music gave me the chills!

    Absolutely stunning! :)

  • the song is very good! :)

  • excelente Paul!

  • Desde lima -peru, el genio Paul McCarney , nuevamente asombrando a la comunidad internacional.

  • Its hard to say who was better as musicians betwen John or Paul but I think that Paul was greater cause he is really fantastic, your way of singing is batles, brilòliant a very gentleman musician

  • For music, I'd definitely say Paul. Lyrics were always Lennons strength.

  • thats y they were such a killer combo

  • yea Paul was a melodic genius and Lennon was much more lyrically impressive...alot of his stuff is still way above me.lqtm...but im only 17. so far ive found that lyrics make a lot mor sense wen ur going through wut theyre talking about...in this case i think i just need to grow up mor nd experience mor b4 i can really start to analyze Lennon's work...

  • Actually, that's exactly the way I look at it. Lennon was great at penning really deep, poetic, colorful lyrics, but didn't always have really brilliant tunes to go with them. On the flipside, Paul's lyrics are a bit simplistic at times, but his ability to create a fantastic melody is unprecedented. They complemented each other so perfectly....

  • Strawberryfields Forever, I Am The Walrus, Dear Prudence all way then Paul's melodies...

  • @JMcG92 Definitely.

Lennon was great at coming up with epic lyrics, and McCartney was great at coming up with epic melodies. I think it become even more evident in their solo careers when they sort of suffered without each others help.

I'd have to say I think George had the best overall package though. He had both brilliant music and lyrics.

  • @david181993 i totally agree with u on the George part. My fave beatle in all respects...

  • @JMcG92 That is a tired argument -- and has been disproven time and again.

  • @JMcG92 completely agree with you

  • This is to cool to do for everyone exept for one artist...

  • I'm pretty sure I would've sold my soul to be sitting in that audience for this.

  • The right ear audio is somehow fucked up. Bothers me...

  • Is there a dvd with all these videos??

  • I savor every day he's alive. To me he's like living at the same time as an Einstein or a Mozart or a Van Goh. In the future, everyone will be talking about Paul in the same way. So let's appreciate it while it's here. Check out 'Two Fingers' by him on You Tube and then come back and comment on what I just said

  • You r so right. but IMAGINE Paul and John still competing for a place in the top ten or albums. He hasn't had someone to compare himself with since John was murdered. I think he honestly lost some brillance since the brillance did not exist; John's death. They were both so vital in their relationship. What a loss for all of us.

  • Paul Mccartney is the best!!!!!!

  • best musician in the world, no doubt

  • Assert:

    John Lennon

  • Jimi hendrix ain't no paul mccartney either..

  • Jimi was a master. Paul's / The Beatles wrote simple rock 'n' roll songs that were absolutley fucking amaziiing!

  • @nax7 mmmmmm beethoven, prince, thelonious monk.... myes mccartney is definitely one of the best musicians in the world

  • MACCA ROCKS! HE'LL NEVER AGE

  • I love how his voice changes when he started singing :P

  • oh yeah, he becomes 22 again ;)

god bless paul (my 5th cousin)

  • really? he's your 5th cousin?

  • yep 5th cousins, my great-grandfather and pauls uncle worked at the liverpool shipyard together too! :)

i learned most bass parts to beatles songs in 10 mins,

  • Ey, cool, Floridaboy7777!

  • Paul is the greatest

  • Saw this on a PBS Great Performances show, very enjoyable to see Paul connecting to an audience up close.

  • he is the man!!!

  • where can I see the rest of this?

  • Yeah, what you are witnessing here is pure genius. Nothing but. The man is genius.

  • Someone once told me McCartney was overrated and then I told him the only reason he MAY SEEM overrated is because he gets way to many good ratings. Paul McCartney is AWESOME!!!

  • amen
