    does this exercise increases endurance, mass, shaping or one push power ?

    and how does the speed affects it ?

  • @TheCarDude1 This exercise affects more the capillarization of your thigh muscles: so endurance and even lactate tolerance will be benefited; even the shape of your thighs will improve and one will get powerful legs by training along this line of thought (i.e. by doing this one and one-legged squat and doing jumps on his forefoot, which I will put in a video in some time).   • @mrgoaliedean Thanks a lot. To go on the low-reps style to train your legs, one has to use heavy weights: this can endanger your spine (if not performed with perfect technique) so i use high reps (20-25 per set).

  • Thanks for the reply Antokindness, one more question if you dont mind, do you do any cardio work at all like running? All I do is bodyweight workouts and your videos have some great tips, At age 52, I want to have the lean and muscular look, and my wife likes that idea also because it saves on gym dues, keep the videos coming because they are very helpful, thank you again.

  • @mrgoaliedean You're very kind, sir: cardio can be good, but I don't do it (I find that eating properly can do a lot better); body-weight training is very useful to get really fit and surely can spare money and time: just be constant and patient.

  • @mrgoaliedean Thanks a lot, pal. Yes, I do train my legs too (no free squat, but one-legged squat and the smith machine) and weight training: it's good to make use of all the available ways to improve on your health

  • I recently started to do lunges and squats and my knees and lower back hurt every time I perform them. I've done a lot of research on how to perform them properly and I am following it. Is it normal for the knees and lower back to hurt a little?

  • @riem630 No. Keep your forefoot always in line with your knee while doing lunges and keep your low-back in its proper lordosis (stick your bum out a little bit).

  • How come you don't squat lower? And how long have you been training for?

  • @720Wonder The lower you get on squat the higher the risk to injure your knee (scientific fact): till 90° is safe, but even to 80° one gets good results.

  • i dunno dude you have inhuman patience for a lot of reps!! now why don't you do one legged squats on vids?

  • @xanyxxx: I find one-legged squat very dangerous to your low-back (it wipes out your lumbar lordosis at lowest point of the range of movement): instead I do an "assisted" one-legged squat that I find very effective and which I will upload sooner or later.

  • Huh, is it really that dangerous? I'm asking cause I did billions of one legged squats as a teen in figure skating... now I can do only about 10, but it makes me feel good, I don't feel much strain...(and I have very sensitive back to the point I can't deadlift). And exercise in this vid--I do it without support for the back leg (I bring the knee down to the floor--doing on stability ball too sometimes). The thing is that 1-legged squats is my favorite exercise!

  • @xanyxxx: generally speaking, it could do some harms for it makes your lumbar spine cancel its lordosis (and so can it squeeze your intervertebral discs): BUT if you feel good at it, then keep on doing it (anyone of us is different and unique).

  • Getting thinner is not getting fitter: do abs exercises every day and go for calisthenics or weight training MORE OFTEN than jogging: it's wiser and better for a healthy life.

  • Hey, Antokindness! I use to do 3 sets of max outs but is 8-12 reps 5-8 times more effective? PLZ REPLY FAST

  • My advice is to go for a good stress your legs muscles with relatively low weights but with 20 reps each set and restricted rest (say 30-45 secs between sets): 5-6 sets this way is good for your muscles and for tendons and joints too. Bye!

    BTW I am just now just out of a cold shower after about 12-13 minutes of yr latest video (tricep pu plus pull up), and I FEEL VERY GOOD.

    Jacoblax is an idiot, I am 18 and am a big fan of your's, I work out only at home and have developed a body like yours in just 4 months. Btw I am 6 feet 3 inches and weigh 80 Kgs.

    I would love to remain like this when I am 38 yo.

    I do 5 kms run+100 push ups+100 narrow chin up+100 straight/ split squates every day.

    I swim 2-3 Kms every weekend.

    I live in a tropical country so, get very sweaty afterwards.

No I'm pretty sure this will not put you legs in an anabolic state but will give you what you could accomplish at a women's aerobic class toned chicken legs lol (look good on women not on guys)... this is no personal problem or a "fear in himself" crap your work out sucks and you have wasted time even posting it.
