What kind of bricks are those? Also, will this work with a charcoal grill?

These are 3/4 or 1 inch fire brick you get at Tractor supply, Home Depot or any hardware store. Straight off the shelf. This will work on charcoal as well. Make sure the brick heats up first, I would think about 20 minutes on gas or charcoal.
