  • Tricky Dick for president! :)

  • 1:27 And strangely - Ghadaffi has been the one to outlast them all. This was a superb game.

  • "Alte Zeiten" *heul*

  • they should remake this game like this

    new graphics

    more oponents

    more strategic options (ex.spy)

    more random events

  • @vlad007001

They already did, as a flash game. Check out addicting games dot com

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 umm and how is called

  • @vlad007001

    World Domination

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 yeah and i got to pay money for a flash game, fuck that

  • Das war mal verboten das Spiel XD ...

  • Hey what happened to the victory screen? I won, I won!

  • What a disturbing game! Oh you had bomb shelters only 8 million killed! Ya that is a relief! I bet people in Japan appreciate the subtle attempt at humor the makers of this game give us when dealing with the subject of mass death and misery.

  • That into was beautiful for such an old game.

  • Comment removed

  • I saw a modern remake of this. Was called "World Domination" featured modeern leaders and more stuff like e.g. B&C-Weapons

  • Yeah! Colonel Kahdaffy strikes again today! Is the last survivor in foreign politic :p

  • What's with all the TWOK references!?

  • this game will be a hit on the iPad or iPhone ! :)

  • YEEEHAW!

  • This was so much fun, i didn't need to know English as a kid to play this

  • Fun for the whole family :)

  • Noone ever chooses to have a game of chess anymore.

  • YEEEHAW!

  • Best game ever.

  • fire the moo missile lol

  • LOOOOL !

  • Ah Nuclear war.... while the adults (30-70 years old) during the 80's was scared of the Cold War.... we kids growing up on that period just find all type of fun related to Cold War... from movies to table top games... fun indeed. Nowadays post 9/11 Iraq and Afghanistan with too much political correctness its not possible to make similar type of games anymore

By the way, many of these leaders who are still alive in the game nowadays are either a joke or caricature of a dictator.

  • I think I remember seeing a flash version of this on the internet. I'm not sure where I found it, but I do recall it being called NeclearWar, so... Just so you know.

  • if you do propaganda twice, everybody would nuke you

  • @juggep80 No that's incorrect, you had to produce weapons two or more times in a row to have everyone turned against you (in fact once you clicked on Nuclear War after having chosen to build for the 2nd time, a warning message was displayed telling you that you were stockpiling). You could prop even all over the game, no penalty occured. That is, some of your city could take off towards the L5 space colony or get destroyed by the Big One, but that could happen any moment when prop... :D

  • @futureconqueror I stand corrected. Too bad Ronnie Raygun didnt bomb Iran in the 80s.

  • I sure played this one a lot back then!

  • A classic. Great simple gameplay that keeps you hooked.

More challenging than might appear at first.

Amiga was the best there was. Someone bring it back ! *sigh*

PlanetEmu . net has all the games.

  • @RabidRat88 There was no controls in the gameplay. I don't know why they attacked only others in this game.

  • Really enjoyed this, back in the days!

  • Love the Dr. Strangelove reference in the opening. This game makes nuclear holocaust bitingly funny... :D

  • Where can i download this?

I need it bad!! It's like the coolest game ever! My high score was 400 million or something

  • Read our channel FAQ :)

  • @cubex55 could you guys do Centurion - Defender of Rome

  • that nuclear explosion is really impressive animation

  • How did you manage to not getting attacked all the time while making everyone an enemy???

  • Kookamamie... "I'm Batman." ..just wow. XD

  • either its a coded message, or hes dillusional as a result of radiation poisining from all that nukes he dropped on his country.

  • must be the radiation.

  • I played that a lot with a buddy back in the day. We were always wondering what the use of the smilies were when you could chose the enemies in the char-overwiew? (01:29) You could make the smilies smile (well, what a news eh?) or make them look angry...

  • :@MRPayDay76 :

The smileys indicates your mood and attitude towards the person in question

I always smiled like shit to them

  • man after more than 15 years, I still remember the joy of cow throwing! haha

  • @DorohnL Yeah! Moo missile ftw :D

  • AHHH! Nuclear war!!! I loved this game! Thank you so much for sharing. Why dont they make these kind of games anymore?

  • try DEFCON, just google Defcon Game, you can downloa a demo version or buy a boxed or streamed version

  • @SwedishDirector "Why dont they make these kind of games anymore?"

Because they want to do it for real.

  • loved this game back in the good old days

  • I've just been playing a remake for this programmed in Java (Nuclear War 3: Ground Zero), you can presently find it only at Home of the Underdogs. You can customize your opponents and finetune various gameplay settings through .ini files. The only problem: for some reason, I couldn't get the sounds working, even though they're there. Would like to find the .exe to see if that sets it up right.

  • One of my favourite Amiga games. The PC version doesn't have the animated intro and, the one I used, the graphics were slightly overrevved. The only addition I'd say is that, in this demo, he must have clicked as the high score screen loaded at the end. There's normally the 'winner' jumping gleefully in an apocalyptic landscape, and saying "I won. I won."

  • and Gandhi can only do propaganda, he cant even shoot missiles, but he often gets those cow bombs.lol Man i forgot this game even existed.

    tkx for d clip

  • Awesome game, thanks for the clip.

  • Where can i download this beautiful piece of retro game for free? Anyone?

  • magico

  • Lucky one! The opponents did not attack you a long time in this match . ^^

  • Das spiel hab ich damals auch nie wirklich verstanden^^ Ich hab meinen Onkel immer solange zocken lassen bis ich die Atombombe zünden konnte ;)

  • Onenightingreece,

Hate to break it to you, but the movie Dr. Strangelove pre-dates this game by some 30 years. The movie came out in 1964, long before personal computers.

  • Who is stupid??

  • A great game :)

I just played this on PC, without a mouse so the experience wasn't optimal :p

  • I played this just few days ago, and i lost all games :( my best score is to win with 46 million people. :)

  • ome of my fav too :)

  • Excellent stuff! Really

  • One of my favorite amiga games. :)
