Melissa Sue Anderson is breathtakingly beautiful and I could listen to her all day. She is so interesting. I hope she writes a book someday. I am looking forward to reading Melissa Gilbert's new book. Bless everyone on Little House on the Prairie that taught us how lucky we all are and how hard living was back in the pioneer days.

I'm a professional actress and that's ridiculous that 'the network' wouldn't let her play other roles.. she is an actress and can act in what she likes as a prof. Contract or not. She had little to do becuz the real Mary, which is who she played, was very quiet in real life. And Laura was me, the tear-around tough tomboy. Doesnt anyone else have an issue with how they showed the kids punching boys and beating people up on this show? Nothing like that in the books!

Always wondered why Mary's face looked so bloated in the MIchael Landon dedication show Look back with memories.. maybe she was pregnant?! She lost all that weight again . As far as pabloherhr comment, I probably wouldn't be happy at all if I were Gilbert and the whole script was geared to how beautiful MARY was! That was terrible, they were always makin it like Laura was somehow the 'ugly' one.

I made up better stories just from watching these episodes.. I invented a sister Lucy who was seamstress and made her money making clothes for others and her family after learning from 'Mrs Whipple', who recognized her talent!

Iceysmoment, the two melissas are not and werent friends. In different interviews, when they asked them about the relationship between them, they said that they got along well, but they werent close. Gilbert is and was friend with Allison (Nellie).
