I remember going to these shows... 2 Nights at the Kabuki in San Francisco. Amazing shows! Armored Saint opened. $10 a ticket!... 5 feet from the stage!! I now live 2 blocks away from The Kabuki, but now it's a Movie Theater.

@DEXsAPPETITE According to the song credits on Kill 'em All, James wrote this song all by himself. I would guess that's pretty accurate since they gave Dave writing credits on Four Horsemen, Jump in the Fire, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Ride the Lightning, and Call of Kthulu respectively. I do disagree with you on Kirk v. Dave though. I think Dave is a rythm player, and Kirk is a lead man in every way
@DEXsAPPETITE I dont get it why ppl keeo saying that Kirk is bad.....if he was bad like u ppl say, woulndt Metallica have kick him out in the first weeks with them, and also think without him, we wouldnt have the amazing fade to black solos, the unforgiven solo, dyers eve...etc and ofcourse ENTER SANDMAN witch as far as a i know is the most famous Metallica song for that awesome riff that kirk wrote....so I WOULD LIKE TO SEE U accomplish what he has, then bullshit him
@Tormentousss Dude I don't know, It fucking pisses me off. Kirk in the 80's could shred is ass off, he played with so much more technical skill back then. I would go as far to say he was better than Dave in the 80's.
I hate it too, tabs don't do his solos Justice either, None of them are accurate and most people play them incorrectly (like not strumming the right notes, using just hammer ons and shit like that which make them easier)
@Tormentousss I have seen great covers of his solos, and all of them have watched videos of him from the 80's and mixed that with some of the tabs. I think the justice tabs are more accurate than the other tabs for the other 3 albums before it.
People need to watch videos of him back in the day and compare his finger work then to now, it's changed alot, he's just gotten very lazy and changed playing style, either way he is still great,I hate those who bash him and don't see his live 80's stuff
@Govenator1 Its not that big of a deal if he doesnt play the solo like how it is studio recorded, he just improvises. Thats what live shows are all about.
