I'm learning from Murphy Method and it's a FABULOUS TEACHER I HIGHLY recommend it....I'm not even done with the frst dvd but I'm picking up songs out of the blue already,playing by ear!
I'd like to suggest you check your public library for instructional videos/DVD's on fiddle or violin as they cover that and a lot more, & probably better than I could.
I have to tell you catinnahat . . . this is some of the greatest fiddle work I've heard in a while. I"m from Sault Ste. Marie, right nere St. Joseph's Island which has a deep, rich history of fiddle / guitar playing for around 200 years.
That speeds a little slow, but the notes are great! Everything's smooth and you kept your rythm. Damn fine.
