  • Not cool

  • It appears that there are a lot of very angry, emotional, irrational people discussing a piece of news film.

Why doesnt a real expert comment on this bridge which looks like it was in the middle of an earthquake. Is this bridge unique in its construction, and will we be expecting more bridges to spontaeously explode? It surely resembles the World Trade Center.

  • Omfg its MNDOT's fault--this bridge was on a list of 5 major bridges needing replacing by 2009 but they ignored it cause it was to expensive ($490 million)

  • Ok Guys i appologize for this in advance but SHUT THE FUCK UP

Do you not have any respect for the people who died?

    Why blame george bush?

Most americans say they could do the job better.... thats complete bullshit... you try dealing with all the world issues and minor laws that are having to be instated in the USA

No im not a Bush fan

But i sure as hell know i couldnt do better

And i sure as hell know you couldnt either

If you could why the hell arent you in office?

  • here we go, it didnt take long to blame this all on the evil automobile and global warming. You guys are sick, let the bodies cool before you grab ahold of this for political reasons. You could also blame the fact that we were forced to spend half a billion dollars on ONE light rail line through SE Minneapolis that could have been spent on roads and bridges

  • And maybe G 'dub could have waited until they found all of the bodies before he decided he needed a 'tour' of the rubble and tied up all of those Law Enforcement resources for his own personal protection.

He was still fishing 3 days after Katrina.

  • I know let's all ask 'W' to shove another tax break for the richest 1% down our throats? The rest of us don't need stuff like alt transit, air, bridges, schools, "the list goes on and on". Al Gore is the least of YOUR problem. WAKE UP and smell the concrete dust, I did.

  • The same way the liberals shoved a tax increase down our throats to fund a billionaires stadium without a public referendum? By the way, I'm not rich. The rich pay much more in taxes than low income. Trust me, I'm awake, idiot.

  • Ref mi post. was Ashcroft, not Rummy; This tragic 2 see..Watch PBS 2day 3pm est w Bill Moyers Journal "Buying the war" best documentation of how admin used 911 & media 2 convince congress & public to justify Iraq invasion, media mustquestion & so should we..

  • Scalar Weapons

  • LOL i knew Americans would assume this was a terrorist act straight away.. you paranoid fuckers need to step back and realize shit like this is bound to happen, the bridge wasn't built properly, if anyone is to blame it's the builders

  • YOU step back and shut the fuck up peanut brain, where the hell did you hear Americans running around yelling it's the "terrorists!!"?

  • he's talking about some of the idiots below him.

  • DUMBFUCK. The bridge was built right, it just wasn't rebuilt in time thanks to our billion dollar Minnesota surplus going to bullshit liberal pet projects. I live right by the bridge, there was no panicking, no one was paranoid. The question was asked if it could have been terrorists but there were no assumptions made. As for you idiots who blame George Bush, you obviously don't live in Mpls. Our money is dumped into inane useless crap, then we are taxed more.

  • And by inane useless crap I mean our Minnesota taxes going to projects like a new bridge to link a "green" bike trail, grants to neighborhoods to have Al Gore propaganda shoved down kids throats, poorly planned light rail, the list goes on and on.

  • I am in Mpls. Maybe if people would get out of their cars and walk or bike places the bridge would't have collapsed. The high traffic volume that it was never intended for can't have helped, the uncharacteristic heat couldn't have helped either.

  • Have you tried Google News, Yahoo News or Drudge or practically any web news outlet? What you say is false!

  • wow, must we really take a tragedy and turn it into an anti bush rant? I am definatly not a bush fan but I am a minnesota and this was a tragedy felt state wide. Lets not forget that just because not as many people lost their lives as those in Iraq( which is toooo Many), Innocent people did die.

  • everybody always jumps to the conclusion: "it must be terrorists" is it possible that it's just human error? we're not perfect you know...

  • Yeah your right bekoes. Everyone makes mistakes and occasionally stumbles upon error; just like the people who orchestrated 9-11. Which was a poor job, it had most Americans fooled for awhile, but it still had major flaws.

  • You know terrorists could have destroyed the bridge with Scalar Weapons. The Al Quada has them and can destroy bridges and buildings leaving no clues. Just Google: Scalar Weapons

  • OR, the same company that blew up the WTC towers could have simply placed charges under the bridge. Has a bridge of this size ever collapsed so quickly before?

  • yea i went down there and saw it shit is nuts.... sex sex sex

  • i cross that bridge every day. I was even thyiinking about going into dinkytown right across the bridge that evening.... Fuckin... anyone coulda been on that bridge.

  • IM NOT GOING ON BRIDGES

  • yeah dis make u not wanna go 'cross no shit no more..

  • ht tp://ww w.youtube. com/watch?v=dDijTeJW6Ew

  • thats scary as hell..next time i see a bridge..agggh

  • next time you see one, GUN IT! Run it fast like a black man is chasing your ass.

  • no more bridges for me OH HELL NO!

  • The "Greatest Generation Ever" built us a great country with great infrastructure. Now their children and grandchildren, WE are the CHEAPEST GENERATION are letting everything they built FALL-A-PART!

We waste our National Treasure on foreign folly and shipped the rest to nations that hate us for cheap gadgets and the energy to run them.

  • Another example how the media exploits those Americans

that are searching for loved ones.

  • YES! i hate those fuckin bimboes with microphones yaking their assholes. They treat these things like career opportunities or entertainment, there is absolutely no sentiments in there. FUCK AMERICAN MEDIA, they're shit, they exist for profit.

  • Shit happens!

  • when you don't pay attention...... in this case to maintenance of a 40 yr old bridge!

  • It's amazing things like this don't happen everyday all over this country!

As gas tax money gets dirverted for other causes, ALL gas tax money should be spent on the highway infrastructure rebuilding.

Just wait until one of New York's bridges falls into the river!

It's only a matter of time!

  • There is no gas tax in Minnesota.

  • Yeah, I paid $.60 less a gallon than in Wisconsin when I was there this summer.

  • god damn!
