Tip: don't charge your Buster when fighting Sigma's first form. The Buster deals only one pixel of damage regardless of mow much you charge it.

You really don't need to charge the blast. I mean, fully charged, it only removes like 2 bars. And the non charged removes 1, so it would be faster to just spray.

Velgauder was a nice pre-final fight, no complaints.

Sigma shoulda been tougher. They should have given him a gravity pull down so players couldn't just hide on the wall. His triangle kick is too inefficient and makes him far too vulnerable.

Velguader Sigma woulda been A LOT tougher if the hand's lightning attack actually hit the entire hand. Either that, or they could have made the hands pull out of the screen occasionally.

But, this was still my favourite X game.

One thing I'm curious is:

Doesn't anyone know that for Sigma's final form, all you have to do is stand on one of his floating claws and spam X Buster? You have to position Mega Man just so that his back foot is on the claw, whilst his other stands on nothing. The electricity from the claws won't hit you, and neither will any of Sigma's other attacks. The only attack you'd have to worry about is when the opposite claw comes to strike you. But then all you do is jump down and jump back up.

It's funny how the second method is considered a 'cheap' method, even though Sigma is fighting you with a giant, nearly-indestructible wolf robot that breathes fire and could probably level a fucking city! At that point, it's pretty safe to say that anything goes, especially when all you've got is the X-buster and shit armor. Great job on this! It took me a while to beat this boss because I never figured out that you could use the Rolling Shield. I got pretty skilled from losing like 20 times!

I tried doing this after watching the video and I realised a funny thing.

The hardest part of the entire battle is actually the friggin dog. First Sigma is easy as long as you don't screw up your timing and second one is doable.

But that friggin dog! He gets my nine times out of ten, and when I do beat him I barely have any hp left so I basically can't get damaged at all in the next ones.

Yeah, it's pretty doable w/o tools. The spider and dino bosses earlier are nastier without tools. Launch Octopus is pretty difficult too if you're doing no dash no damage.

This battle is a lot easier if you jsut stay on the coner of the hands and shoot every time you come around to the head. You never have to avoid anything except the other hand flying at you.

MathUDX: I found another way to bypass Chill Penguin's Dash Upgrade. Use the Charged Cameleon Power and the capsule won't activate. You would have to get the Buster upgrade, but anyway it's the same thing because even if you don't get it, Zero gives you the upgrade. Hope that helped.

Wow, THAT IS IMPRESSIVE!!!! In Mega Man Xtreme, Sigma's 1st form delays before he starts attacking you, he has almost the exact same A.I. from his Original 1st Form. It would be impossible to defeat the 2nd Form without the Arm Upgrade.
