Linares showed the explosiveness and heart , typical of Roach's trained fighters. Despite dominating the early rounds, Linares came short to make impressive debut with Roach and Ariza. Linares lacked lacked the killing power to bring down DeMarco. De Marco should thank for the headbutt bleed which was the determining factor to overturn from the defeat into sudden victory.

It was the most exciting fight of the night though eclipsing others including the body slam TKO of the main event.

@dennisrayso You have to remember that Valero was a cocaine addict who was potentially on the drug when fighting (which would give him obvious advantages). From what I know of, he never failed a drug test; however, most of his fights were in countries like Mexico, Venezuela, Japan, etc., where it's easy to 'beat' the tests (that, or pay the officials). Fighters even beat the tests here in The States...

This was a great fight and part of a very solid undercard. Too bad the main event was a huge disappointment, but the undercards nearly make up for it.
