  • MIKU IS IN FIRST PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF THE OLYPIC GAMES YAYAYAYAYAYAY anyone know if she will be preforming at the football olympics or the parlympics? i really want to get tickets for the one she will be opening if she wins :3

  • Oh my gosh. This was really well translated :)

  • I think this song is about how she moves from producer to producer, or place to place. Its kinda like...after so many uses, you don't work the same. She's been used so much, she forgets who she is. She's been tossed and thrown, and she has allowed others to control her and her feelings. In the end, she just wants to be free~

  • @iiReadManga No, check the first part of the song, she mentions something about her grade

  • @harrisbirowosugiarto I don't really see that, I see something about the test score. Perhaps the 'grade' (In this context, and from my perpective, its the test score.) she gets is the Vocaloid Weekly Ranking. And when others are higher than her in the Ranking, it somewhat fits into the line, "I can't get over your standard."

  • @iiReadManga Test score is definitely something which school things. I doubt test means weekly ranking or something like that. And from the video clip itself, she wears something look like school cloth.

I can't get over your standard can means many things but because that line is after test score, it is highly possible her parent(or mother?) has too high standard and not satisfied with her score.

All the lyric suggests the strict relation between daughter and parent

  • this song is by far the best song a ever herd and really made me think wish there was a show based of the basic ide shes trying to get out there would be a hit

  • Two things one I can't find this song on iTunes PLZ HELP!!!!! two I think this song is actually about black mail see she did something wrong and someone found out so they black mail her into leaving her friends behind and then she sees that everyone has secrets and she shouldnt be ashamed

  • hey, who do u think is the "demonic puppeteer"?

  • @OMGthatsosad her parent

  • @OMGthatsosad the chinese!

  • From the lyrics i got this:

Miku is a prostitute because she doesn't know what love is so she thinks that the guys she meets will show her what love is, but they don't, so Miku breaks away the ''chains'' (or the hands) of the guy how is selling her and looks for true love for herself, by herself.

    The End :D

  • @sammy0323DA It about her parent want to control her and make her to do what they want (ignoring her feeling or whatsoever). She begin to lose identity and doesnt know herself. She loses her goal in life and doesnt know what to do. She feels as if she is bound with chain and live her life like puppet. As a puppet where she has no control over her life because of her parent

  • ok. this is my conclusion. AMERICAN MUSIC SUCKS AND JAPANESE MUSIC RULES. that is my opinion. haters gonna hate.

  • I. Love. This. Song.

  • Do you know what's awesome? You can't even see the dislike bar!

  • I think this song is about Miku having an abusive boyfriend who tries to control her, but in the end she breaks up with him :)

  • @XxMaddiLuvsYaxX But America's had some pretty amazing artists if you look in places other than pop. It's grossly offensive to assume all music is horrible just because of a few artists follow the genre. It's a matter of if you're willing to spend over five seconds looking. Mind you, America brought Bruce Springsteen.

  • @Piranabo XxMaddiLuvsYaxX never said that all American music was horrible. She simply said she prefers vocaloids over Justin Beiber and the Jonas brothers.

  • This song gives me chills.

  • Hmm.....

I'm thinking of Romano and his "Rominion", his Mafia. I don't know why, but I think Italy would save him at the end.....

  • ... why is flyleaf in the suggestions

  • This song speaks to my heart

  • Just forget the different and find the meaning of lyric, kay? ;D

Miku in love with someone. That person keep chain her feeling. She treated well, but never being loved. Even though Miku threw everything, that person only think Miku as decoration. Finally, Miku can't take it anymore and break the chain of feeling. Because she want to protect her heart. This lyric make me cry you know....

And I suppose to study for test tomorrow XD

  • Hi everyone.

Can we talk about the song, not Americans? It's cluttering the comments.

    Thanks!

  • Hrm.. even nice to listen to a 4am when my mind cant even process a word in it that I know.

Btw, I find the comments people have left to be a bit pointless, arguing about if americans ruin music, or all hate vocaloids, etc..

Well what I can add from my opinion, Though I personally hate to admit it I'm an American, I do think Americans 100% ruin music normally, maybe 1-2% don't.

But I do think there are plenty that like vocaloids, and WAY more like anime tho mainly teens and young adults atm.

  • Mmm Demonic Puppetier....I'm sorry but that really sounds seductive to me hahahaha

  • i live in uk and im britsh/french and ppl call me weird and make fun of me 4 liking things like anime and vocaloids and its really annoying i dont see there problem there is nothing wrong with it, its betta than any music and tv in the uk 2 me

  • @missmysteryv Most things on TV are worse than this aside from Red Dwarf, Spaced and the occasional thing on the BBC that's actually good, like Miracle Day or whatever. That's why Only ever switch my TV on in the evenings, I can watch much better stuff on the internet.

  • @DaRKDEFIANCE0games yh i am always on ma laptop i try 2 find live streams of anime from usa or im here on youtube ^^ yh pretty much on youtube 24/7

  • @missmysteryv It's like im talking to another version of me.

  • i hope the american indristry don't mess up miku T^T

  • this remided me or Alice from Pandora Hearts

  • i love this song so much <3

  • Songs are what bring people together, because we can all appreciate good music, despite what nationality we are. I love this song, and I am Irish, not that it even matters. the main point of my statement is that i like the song, and my nationality has not stood in the way of my appreciating it. So stop fighting, and enjoy the song! <3

  • only thing that bothers me is when people say shit about other cultural songs and i guess what ever this conversation i keep seeing with this vortdog guy is about is why do would you type in Hatsune Miku or whatver you typed to watch this and say we shouldn't appreciate this if u dont like japanese or other cultural songs then stay out of all this stop watching them and go do something else. i hope i typed this right my grammar is off, im part of the mass population of idiots.

  • @PurpleBlackPretzel I applaud that you can admit that. That means you have a chance to become better. To accept something gives possibility to change, and to change is to avoid stagnation. Stagnancy, or stagnant ideas are destroying the country I live in(America). Yet I fight that, I fight against the idiocy of the American popular views. I fight against idealistic beauty, mass accepted ignorance, and irresponsible actions. Well... I ranted again. I apologize.

  • As is does with half of Miku's songs,I have shivers.Damn,Miku, come in America and Europe!!! <3

  • i love this song..gives women power! ♥

  • 3:06. I hear Kaito. :X

  • @MeganYip now that ya mention it, me too....

  • americans are not stupid even though im not an american... im just saying they have their right to have their own opinions... well im a vocaloid fan too... we just can't say that americans are stupid....well.. im just saying..

  • CAN YOU ALL STOP ARGUEING ABOUT AMERICA AND AMERICANS AND E N J O Y T H E S O N G

  • It's not like there weren't any Americans who cried after Servant of Evil, Paper Planes, Little Mermaid, Dark Woods Circus, etc., Or weren't mildly creeped out during Kagome Kagome, Wide Knowledge of the Late Madness, Broken Human Machine, etc. And it's not like there aren't corperate lapdogs in Europe, Asia, and all the other continents. It's not the entire country's fault if we ruin Miku, so can we please not act like every American is the same as the stereotype? Alot of us aren't idiots.

  • im american and i love it as well bring it to america as it is

  • this song reminds me of my "old self"

  • thanx 4 explaining. i was wondering the same thing.

  • @AliceOrWonderland Miku is in an abusive relationship. She wants to break free but can't (hence Chain Girl). However in the end she finds courage and ends it.

  • Everybody, shutup.I'm trying to find a useful comment, and not one on americans.Or Japanese for that matter.I just really like the song...So all would kindly refrain from commenting until they have something valuable to say please?

  • why have the comments on this video turned into one giant debate on if bringing miku to America would be a bad or good thing?

ahh you guys know theres a really awesome song playing here right? why dont we comment on how awesome the song is?

  • I don't understand why everyone wants to "translate" things. Things are better the original way it's meant. That's why we have fu***** english dubs on japanese games.

I do prefer watching american movies in English even tough I speak Belgian French.

  • It's the Japanese making the English Miku, not Americans.

Because Americans can't make shit anyways.

  • What's -really- embarrassing is how many Americans are bashing their own country. I'm proud of America, thank you very much! Instead of dissing English Miku (which, you know, is a language that ISN'T exclusive to only America), why don't you wait and see? Once the final product is released and you still don't like her, guess what? YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO HER OR SUPPORT HER. Imagine that!

  • @wasurenbou02 I agree.

  • English Vocaloids have already been released but they were done by their original Japanese companies.

America had nothing to do with their production. Look it up.

  • @KyoLover2011 Searched it up... I kinda regret it now.

  • @Gzero91 I know that the english version of the japanese vocaloids aren't the best but, with each new append, they are hoped to get better

the english vocaloids (sonika, big al, & prima ect) are alright but not as perfected or liked unlike Miku, Luka, Gakupo, Gumi ect ect.

  • @KyoLover2011 I searched it up too and what I found was expectedly crappy, not even understandable until blasted full volume w/ noice cancelation headphones. The first japanese vocaloids were deffinitely not this hard to understand. Either ways I can't see them perfecting english vocaloids beyond just barely understandable. The biggest problem which they can't get around is things like "Ghoti" = fish problem, which are impossible in nearly all eastern languages while english is full of it.

  • @FruitRandom I meant that Miku, Luka ect ect are perfected in their language

Of course english vocaloids such as Prima, Sonika, Big Al and others are going to be difficult to perfect because english is the hardest language- grammar and pronounciation wise.

With today's technology, who knows. Maybe they will get it better than "barely understandable"

we have to remember, english vocaloids like Lola & Leon came first before Meiko & Kaito. So there is hope ^ - ^

  • I imagine it would be hard to do an english vocaloid. Unlike english, most eastern languages are pure voweled & constructs their words from much smaller sets of difinitively pronounced symbols, which provides trivial mappings from text to sounds. This means that you can generate sounds by replacing symbols with clips of their pronounciation and that would be understandable. The smoothing process that follows is also easier due to the same reason.

  • I'm american and i can quite honestly say that we WILL ruin Hatsune Miku. Please don't let the english her come out.

  • @totoyuki1 Piss off.

  • I'm not someone who LOVES anime. I barely watch it if it's not on Adult Swim. I love MUSIC. Not Anime, MUSIC.

And I HATE, HATE, HATEE American Weaboos who are ignorant to their own culture. I like all types of music because I have an open mind. I like Hatsune Miku, and I do not think America will Ruin Hatsune Miku.

  • goood =3

  • My Heart UNLOCK!

  • @kata8891 Pfft, thanks for randomly making me LOL in the middle of the night. xD

  • @lilmeower ur welcome =3 XD

  • o.o the boobs! nevermind...at least the song is good :)

  • Comment removed

  • this reminds me of black butler

  • @amunumber1style It does~!

  • @AkatsukiKuroiSakura1 it's nice to have someone feeling the same....so.... arigatou!

  • My interpretation: Miku is a student either in high school or college, and she has a boyfriend who expects her to be average or below average. He expects her to grow up to be a stay at home mom, or some other "woman's job." Miku wants to meet his image of a good wife and so stopped working hard to reach her goal for the future, settling instead for his wants. Thus, he is her 'puppeteer.' She's sick of it and wants to reach her goals, so she finally dumps the guy at the end, thus she's freed.

  • I love how you guys are arguing about Americans here.

CFM's requirement to make English(American) Miku has been reached, so they know they'll get money for it. It's going to happen. And CFM already said; It's still going to be Miku. Same VA, same character traits, everything (although, they also promised that with the APPEND Miku, and we got ourselves a pornstar Miku...) Buy it when it comes out, or don't or whatever else. Chillax and watch the video, it's a comment area, not a forum.

    /end rant

  • It's all just stupid... Americans only make music about love, sex, drugs, or money. It's what rolls in the money here, sadly. I can only name a few English songs that I know that aren't about the basic storyline stuff that you see.

  • @JootheAwesome Well, it's not that americans only make music about the above topics. It's that only the above topics get popular. Then the other thousands of songs aren't realized because Lady Gaga and what not are taking all the spotlight. American sogs like this are out there, they're just in the dark,

  • I know how she feels

  • dude im american >.> and yet i really appreciate this song not all americans are stupid and dont enjoy this type of music. actually only a handful of people fit the stereotype that you guys are protraying though i will admit america doesnt know good music when its staring at it in the face

  • @Kenko14 Agreed. When I listen to this song on the bus, the boys laugh at me and say I'm a Chinese freak. I'm Brazilian, and was born in America, so a few weeks ago I began sitting in the front of the bus so they can leave me alone. We all listen to our own separate music. Though, Americans are capable of making good songs... Just not complex, storyline ones like the Vocaloids.

  • @narutoxXxshippuden1 yeah i hate to admit it but we dont make good series songs. Rock songs are pretty deep when it comes to inner conflicts and outside forces. Pop music usually talks about a girl wanting a boy or a boy wanting a girl or love or drugs or sex or all 5 in the same freaking song >.> artists like lady gaga and justin beiber really do not know when to make an orignal song that does not use a overused genre

  • @Kenko14

Good story song series - Lamb lies down on Broadway by Genesis.

    ^_^

  • This song of Miku is amazing!!

  • Beautiful song, beautiful art, beautiful lyrics. Definitely faved. :3

  • I don't think this is about parents....I think this is about a girl who's in an abusive relationship......

  • @itsAthong123 I think it has more to do with the fact that Miku's a computer program :3

But that's music, you only get what the lyrics tell you, and the 'story' is what you add on.

  • @NintenHedgehog yes but.......'show me the true love' 'behind me are the friends and dreams i gave up'? that seriously sounds familiar.

  • she hot no matter what you make her wear

oh and the writer probably wrote this after his/her parents asked why they were wrting songs instead of studying to be a lawyer of some sort

  • she hot no matter what you make her wear

  • This is a good Pest Control song. OwO

  • i think this is for all the girls whos parents give them the hardest in life. that we have to do what they want for love, stuff that we hate and just want to cry for doing. even in life you always watch people laugh a pain to hear. you just want to be apart of. in life you dont know where you belong or want to do. the only thought you want is to run away from this pain. just to do what you think is right.

  • I prefer teh Japanese ones <3

  • I love how a bunch of people are all 'Oh, Vocaloid in the Western hemisphere is bad!' Remember guys, the first Vocaloids were British. ;D Then again, our newest 'star' is Jessie J, famous for the 'Ah can do eet lahk la mahndem' song, so yeah. =/ Good songwriters /do/ exist in the USA (and Britain), it's just that the population prefers not to have to think about the music. If I gave my English class the lyrics to Matryoshka, their brains would probably die. XD

  • @Venraven By 'our', I mean the people of England. XD

  • Amazing artwork

  • Miku in America would be pretty cool. O: There are a lot of serious Vocaloid fans here. The english version that Crypton's making would be a good way to introduce it in. I haven't watch many cartoons lately, but I know America is starting to treat anime with more respect, so a shitty cartoon like what they made with Legend of Zelda and Kid Icarus is less likely.

If Vocaloid is used to make crap music like some of what's playing on the radio, it'll probably just remain obscure, so no harm done.

  • @CaramellOtter

I totally agree with you on that. America is slowly, but surely, becoming more and more aware and accepting of Japanese anime and culture, Like Gwen stephani's Harajuku brands, Hello Kitty, and another celebrity's brand is a big sign. And most people i see love asians and are totally accepting. The only people that i think would terrorize Miku in America would be the popular preppy types. They live off of making fun of it, like its their energy source.

  • @QuincyOfChoice Well, preps have always sucked. The loners are taking over, and so now the preps are the loners which makes the term loner not epic anymore. But yes, I am american. I was hooked on Sailor Moon as a two year old, and I now to this day pay more attention to JPop than the mainstream.

  • @QuincyOfChoice Preppy girls are complete asholes. I cant say a few aren't decent, but I think they are mean, cruel, and dont easily accept something new. Their joy is to love Justin Bieber and call anything good 'lame'. I agree, only, I think it'll take much longer for most Americans to accept Vocaloid/anime/manga. Hello Kitty is extremely popular now, lets hope Vocaloid becomes like that here too ^^

  • @lightymeadow All we can do is pray for the best... and support it all the way.

  • @lightymeadow @lightymeadow when u say american you mean white people right? o-o but americas not the only one not accepting stuff. Did you know korean dramas are great and are like the best BUT japanese people were protesting to get rid of it so its not just america who's a douche. o-o everyones a douche! i love the k-dramas BUT japan dosent face the fact that k-dramas are better then theres. you dont see korea protesting about japans great anime, and i accept the fact that korean anime sucks

  • uhhhhh i kno tht vortdoggie is kinda upsettign u guys, but he/she is sharing their opinion.... theres nothing to be mad about..... its just someone sharing their opinion.......

  • @girlfriend2450 He isnt really lol

  • um... not everybody is same about something or everything "^_^

peoples have things they hate and love..

  • @vortdoggie Listen, I don't know what gave you that idea, but you can be American and like anime. In fact, in most places in America, anime is more recognized and well known than cartoons. Over half of Miku fans are AMERICAN, get over it. I'm American, and I love it, but not in the weabo way like most people portray American anime fans. In fact, most of the Asians I know HATE anime and manga, so saying that Americans can't like anime and it's an Asian only thing is a misconception.

  • @UsagiRingo43 TRUE THAT! All the anime kids i know at my school are non-asian except me and a friend. I also thought that was weird, but i could care less, all that matters is ANIME and MANGA!

  • ugh, i hate how some people think americans are idiots. I'M ASIAN TOO! AND THIS SONG ROCKS!

  • to american anime lovers from a fellow american: u take away from your argument by saying that MOST americans are idiots. thank you

  • @vortdoggie 99% of us may be idiots but trust me. I'm not one. Yeah, I don't think they should introduce it to America cuz, cmon, if we made Justin bieber famous, imagine what would happen to Vocaloid? xD

But we are not all retards. We still have that other 1% who are pretty smart and love anime manga and Vocaloid.

  • I got HUGE goosebumps when she got free

  • aw this song is so sad yet really awesome Vocaloid forever! Indeed never introduce it to America keep the original ^^

  • Perfect Just Perfect

  • i think this song is either about strict parents or some deformed way of teen dating violence. lol idk...idk...

  • Amazing version of this made with Append Miku...

    /watch?v=DcwYf4YYCTE

  • @TheHanyouKitten OMG! ure right! its an amazing version alright! 0_0

so lifelike.. ure good at scavenging new vids. xD (atleast new to me :D)

  • Ilove this song!

  • My favorite song my Hatsune Miku

  • @animelover3083 I went ot the vocaloidism blog and it said that we finally got enough votes on facebook to make an english speaking miku but i don't remeber when she's coming out

  • いい曲ですねo(^o^)o

  • @AF3x7 Well Congrats guys are wish has come true!!! There are now making an English Hatsune Miku!!! YAY XD

  • @manicthehegehoglvr what? when??!?

  • I think this is about she has no freedom as a child.

She cannot play with who she wants, and can only do whatever her parents tell her to do.

She was abused when she was young, also.

  • At 2:52 when it says 'oikake' translates to 'follow', that's not exactly correct. It should be 'chase after' :\

  • my friend showed me this and i got hooked on Miku's songs

    Vocaloids FTW!!!

  • miku's master disliked this video

  • the way the video was produced looks like it could b the opening for an anime

  • Hm... I think the Japanese must be working on a real AI for Miku right now...

She deserves real thoughts like human =_=

  • Yeah, when she broke off her chains, I said "Good for Miku!" ;D

  • ...okay for any hetalia fans out there...(i got hetalia on the brain okay?) think long and hard about 1 certain blonde nation that this would fit very well...cause now it's bugging me

  • @Yokolite94 Canada?

  • @ghostiesxx no think 1700's and parent figures

  • @Yokolite94

uhh, Germany? France? Canada? ( who's that, lol) Sweden?

  • @cinders1998 ...the fact everyone names canada considering is ironic...welll that probaly gave it away XD

  • @Yokolite94 Kay, i have to guess...England or America? One of them. XD

  • @safiya131 yep America! think about the revolution a bit and how people often describe Al's own personal need for independce, fit fairly well, not perfect but it fits.

  • @Yokolite94 America

  • i love this song, is one of my favorites :D

  • o_o The Japanese translation on this is wrong, like at the end what she says is translated into "Free me from this chain". Like she says something totally different at the end then what she says at 1:14 yet there's the same translation. My sister said translation is an art but o_o meh, Im just an annoyed fan girl xD

    @TwilightPhantom123

You might have heard Luka's and Lily's version, there voices a bit slower

  • @rainberryToT I am not to up on my Japanese, nor do I have this song memorized to help much, but it is also possible that the sentence started the same with a different ending, but for it to make sense, they were flipped both times. I recomend making a word for word translation for the whole song. I would myself, but would be hard to convey what I learned without you having to do it as well. Also helps with learning Japanese. I speak from xp.

  • This song is powerful. So pretty.

  • this is one of the songs by Miku that make you think about things...

  • i kno this is going 2 sound stupid but this is just a test: make Hatsunae Miku sing a Metallica like Master of Puppets just to see what it sounds like

  • @LizardKid121 I think that it might sound a bit like Miku singing Pain, but very engrish. Oh, and with a bit of Love Love Nightmare and Diarrhea.

  • Wait a second does this have the same tune as another vocaloid song? I KNOW I've heard this before but it was a little slower I think....
