  • 2 other people tried plastic cups...

  • That's not a glass cup, when you compare the two cups you can see the injection molding point in the middle of the bottom of the unmelted cup. If it was glass then you would hear it cracking when it cools down

  • i loled at durp :G

  • nah. It'll melt the glass one too if you give it time and it doesn't break first...

  • Sounds like a lightsaber. :U

  • With this microwave, forget cooking, You can smith metal into bars for making weapons and armor!

    Yes i play runescape.......lol, i enjoy it

  • nicely done

  • you know what i was thinking you take a cup glas or plastic and somehow put some water on the top this will conduct heat away like a radiator and the water vapour will be sucked away by the ovens fans. I think even a plastic cup could last a while with water on the top for the same reason you can put a styrofoam cup on a fire it cant actually melt because it must first heat the water eventually when the water becomes hot enough the cup will melt.

  • That sounds like it could work because I have seen the water in the cup with fir on it in science class at school and I was amazed!

  • ya maybe ill try it and post the vid.

  • @turboshagna What would happen if plasma came into contact with hydrogen?

  • to ingz1993> Do you have a microwave oven? Do you warm up your lunch in it? And do you have damaged your sperm cells?

  • say god bye to your sperm cell's xD

  • WTF ?

  • Glass explodes, plastic is at least easier to clean up... Though the combination of melted plastic, ozone and nitrogen dioxide isn't the best thing to breathe in.

  • yeah but as long as u dont breathe in too much for too long ull be fine

  • what did you use exactly?

  • The gasses that are emmited from the burning wood get energized by the microwaves recreating the effect inside a neon tube or flouro. The plastic cup didn't like that very much - durp...

  • sweet, ill have to try it

  • mums gonna be going wheres my cup son...

  • Girlfriend: 'What happened to the cup?'

Me: 'I made microwave plasma in it.'

    Girlfriend: 'Why?'

Me: 'Cause they did it on youtube'

    Girlfriend: (rolls eyes)

  • how'd you get the toothpick to stand up? and you lit the top right, tell me how you did exactly, so i dont kill myself

  • I used chewing gum stuck onto the rotating tray!

  • grats

  • @turboshagna Girlfriend: 'What happened to the cup?'

Better answer: 'I created a small sun in it. That didn't go well.'

  • Some gas when the match burns gets energized or whatever by the microwaves! Almost the same principle for a neon light they say...

  • what do you use to make the plasma?

  • how hot does a plasma ball get

  • Do you have any ideah how much radiation an average mircowave puts out?.....interesting yes

  • dang!!and we put our food in there!!!

  • put it back in the cabinet and see if they notice

  • Use glass! You should know not to use plastic cups. We're talking about plasma here...

  • Next morning.. WHO THE FUCK MELTED ALL OUR CUPs!?!?!

  • you should put three in that would be fucking sweet

  • lol"ho-ly shit"

  • I was thinking 'this should be interesting.'

    And was it?

    Yes, yes it was :)

  • you used a plastic cup... wow what were you thinking!?

  • I could feel the heat radiating from the melted area of the cup for a few minutes after :D Maybe next time I need a thermometer in there...

  • HAHA awesome i always wondered how hot that shit gets

  • sweet, lol.
