The most awesome display for our town of Indian Springs NV. We Love our BIRDS. This yr. we were dissappointed that they coudn't do their formations due to mechanicle ereror. The computor that tells them how far they are from the ground, wasn't working right

Well, I've seen the Blue Angels twice and the Thunderbirds 4 times. And in my experience the Blue Angels put on the better show. But maybe it's just which shows you see and how they perform at each individual one.

Its a fake SU-27 cutout. There are 3 or 4 of them throughout the field. They are used as photo targets by the predators and reapers.

I've seen the Blue Angels four times and the Thunderbirds once. Without a doubt the Thunderbirds are far better. I'm not saying the pilots are better. I'm just saying I thought the Thunderbirds but on a better show in my opinion. Both are awesome though!

It's a bummer that guys head keeps messing up your auto focus!

I see people with little step stools at air shows, maybe you should invest in one! They make one that has a balance bar that you lean against so you don't lose your balance when looking through a Camera or focusing on a small screen!

Nice job though, next time you get a guy like that in front of you, give me a call, i'll send Vinny and Rocko out to remove him for you ;-)

I know. But what can you do. Guess thats what I get for using a tripod. Next time (Aviation Nation) Im not using a tripod, maybe I can get closer to the fence.

I don't want to try and bring stuff like that in, because if they tell me I cant bring it in, then I gotta go all the way back to the car.

Nope, he's right. Maneuver is flown at 450 kts, so combined for both aircraft it's a closure speed of almost 1000 mph.....

Inbound at a CLOSING speed of nearly 1,000mph! Both solos fly 450 knots groundspeed (or 510 mph), so their closure would be just over 1,000 mph. Hope that explains!
