Yeah, much better than Zimmer's boring ass score, which is pretty pathetic considering the budget of the Nolan films. Elfman's is the best, IMO.

I love this score, but I'm not sure why the vocalizations are in Russian. It almost sounds like a Soviet soundtrack. Not entirely appropriate for Batman, but still great by itself.

One of the best Batman scores ever! I guess it holds too much of a "fantasy" tone for Nolan to consider using a piece like this in his movies.

@1rammstein21 Actually, i remember coming out of the theater after seeing Batman Begins for the first time with one of Hans Zimmer's pieces from the score in my head, and i couldn't help but notice it was ever so slightly reminiscent of this theme here. The part with the rising tones mostly. i can't remember which track off the BB score it was. Whichever one plays when Bruce climbs up toward the League of Shadows headquarters.

Amazingly, as a kid, I actually didn't enjoy the opening.

I just wanted to see Batman.

It was only later did I realize how idiotic I was did I begin to appreciate the absolute intensity sheer excitement of this film.

Its amazing because the language that they are singing is actually not a language at all! Its actually the names of everybody on the music team for MotP being sang backwards!! Shirley Walker was up set that they weren't going to get credit fo the music so she made a loophole. She was an absolute GENIUS!!

While I like the Nolan films, I don't think it captures the true essence of Batman in the way that the DC Animated Universe does. I really hope that the people that make the movies after Nolan is done are inspired by this version of Batman and the one from the Arkham Asylum video games.

OH MY GOD!! An EPIC theme for the movie of the most EPIC animated show of ALL TIME!! I would LOVE to sing this in a choir myself. Shirley Walker is a GENIUS.

When I first saw this movie, my first thought was: Holy s***, there's vocals for this piece!? Someone actually wrote vocal accompaniment!? I was totally blown away. Can't get a grander or more sweeping score for a movie, animated or otherwise.

What a talent Shirley Walker was (and Danny Elfman for the original composition).

It's such a classic - I can't understand why this theme isn't used for the latest animated Batman and even Nolan's movies. Particularly with the movies, the soundtrack is so nondescript, that this would definitely elevate them to another level.
