I know I posted a month ago, but I felt the need to get this off my chest: Matt Armstrong is despicable for his purposeful moral bankruptcy. In this video he attempts to convince us that we should tip his employees even though he willingly pays them below minimum wage at a restaurant that is not full service. Furthermore, he knows that only 1/3 or his guests tip, yet he does nothing to help his workers. This is a man who should not be a business owner.
@Tihbialdunav When you call gratuity a "fee" for service, it's still a tax. It must only be voluntary. You can get paid $2.13/hr because of the Fair Labor & Standards Act enacted by the federal government. If you are so greedy and ungrateful for the tips you do get, have all your serving colleagues unite to tell the government that it should repeal the legislation which "screws" you.
@MelkorHimself , in Florida, 15% is added to all checks and in California every server gets $8 /hr.
In Europe and Canada about 15% is already added to your check( included in the price of the meal), so a server always gets paid and doesn't have to rely on the niceness of people.

@bevon17 , the trash man gets $12-13 per hour. A server gets $2.13. You don't have the money to pay for service? Don't go out.

1) no restaurant can exist without service.
2)servers in US is are compensated by wage of 2.13/hr
3)no other job is paid 2.13/hr, including yours
4) tipping is not a "demand" but a fee for service
How about you stick to fast food joints? Sounds like you can't afford any real restaurant anyway...
