It did give you an extra life. One to be exact. And it said if you hit it you lose, so since you didn't hit it, you won 1 life. Guess other games are better than that boring one.
I wish Gravity Hold worked like that. I knew that One Shot was going to be a waste of time. Give me Turn Pop any day. Why does the Pharoah burp bubbles at you, did he eat a bar of soap before you showed up.
I have a question, how do you install instant death spikes? I mean if while you are installing them and you graze them you would die, they must be a bitch to install.
Cruel death traps or no, NES games gave you a sense of satisfaction upon beating them, unlike... alot of console games today. Too many games have been made to be easy, without really even pushing the created game layout to it's limits.
I miss the tingly feeling you used to get after beating a game. Now it just feels embarrasing, how easy games have become.
Hmm - this game was released before Zelda: A Link to the Past but this level has Sand Palace written all over it! Plant creatures that pop up from underground? Bugs that draw you into sand vortexes? Sandworms? Vultures?
It gave you one extra life, so presumably the red daggers were good, and the white bad? So I guess you can get up to four extra lives if you don't hit the skeleton at all. Pure luck? Probably!

No, this game can't be fair. It's a Pre-MetroidVania CastleVania game. Since when have they been fair?

Is it just me or does DC seem a little less enthusiastic than usual? Hang in there man, don't let Kid Dracula grind you down!!!

So using only the first weapon is like an extra challenge?

This platformer reminds me of "Rick Dangerous", another unforgiving tongue-in-cheek game.

We can't even enjoy a stroll through ancient Egypt without instant death spikes, instant death boulders and boss fights without floors.

Gordon Freeman would like me to inform you that Antlions kill people all the time, DC. Where have you been for the last few years?

They are the second worse spikes, next to the "Rapeyoutillyoucry" spikes. I will never forget that day...

I think they only instant-kill protagonists. Also, they go for about 400 grand each, so I'd go with something less expensive, but deadly.

Wow, that was a really crappy bonus game. I'll bet we're stuck with Can can and One shot now.
Huntershows 3 years ago 3
it's not like you need the lives, they went UP even though you kept on dying so you must have got 1-ups from somewhere in that level
