likely not, that was it's only major flaw. you wouldn't even need to shoot it a great deal...simply working the action while handling one, admiring one will eventually lead to malfunction. i own one in excellent condition & very scarcely work the action. it's amazing how popular they were, they sold real well despite the delicate action.
