....working the action does not inspire confidence, they feel "gummy" and you can sense that they could go out of time easily. beautiful to display though, they were one of the prettiest looking revolvers Colt ever made.

likely not, that was it's only major flaw. you wouldn't even need to shoot it a great deal...simply working the action while handling one, admiring one will eventually lead to malfunction. i own one in excellent condition & very scarcely work the action. it's amazing how popular they were, they sold real well despite the delicate action.
