I served on board this ship summer of 1979, not a very happy time against my wishes for an intended career, but some idiot career manager and officers apparently knew better. Seeing it on the bottom is karma.
I got to walk on the ship and check it out before watching them sink it. I was only 8 years old if this was in 97. I remember waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and then it went down. I never knew anything about the ship but its nice to finally learn something now after all these years. An RCMP just died diving down to visit this ship, RIP.
Hi cystalskulls, great video, it's wonderful to see a Canadian vessel continuing its service, even after sinking beneith the waves. This video would be great for the Canada’s Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. Help celebrate Canadian diversity by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure) and submitting your video. It would be made available on our channel and website.
Absolutely not. English hands down originated in England and I will not dispute that. I was only commenting on your grammar; unless that is how the English System teaches you.
First of all you cannot even speak English yourself. Your grammar is repulsive. Also, where did you get "redneck" from? Do your research before you insult someone next time loser.
wish they never sank that, my father served on that ship...and the HMCS Yukon which they sank off the coast of San Diego....man is the Canadian Navy in terrible shape.
With all due respect. I take offense to that. That is the accent of an Aboriginal man from Saskatchewan. A Cree speaker like myself. That accent is a part of Canadian Heritage. We should not disrespect our fellow Canadians with disparaging remarks.

being a Navy guy I found it sad to see her go. I did not sail on her but two of her sisters. HMCS Gatineau, and Nipigon

Oh. So THAT is what they teach you. I still cannot believe I am defending a comment I made two years ago.

That looks really fun. There are not many ships you are allowed to dive "in". And that guy had some trouble speaking EH?

I'm Cree and could narrate much better. Accent is one thing, intonation is another. Those onboard shots were great though.
