i used to have a pc version and it was produced in 1996 it stoped working so i just put on my stereo and listened to the GOA music it was awesome though i didnt play the game (sorry for my english)
Does anyone remember a freeware or PD breakout clone with fractal/algorithm/procedurally generated music? It would've been from a coverdisk maybe '96 ish.
The play area was set horizontally, so the blocks were on the right of the screen.
Man that had amazing music. I've been going mad trying to find it.
The updated Stardust HD game is coming out from the PS3 this summer. The video of what it looks like is on the Playstation store, so if you have a PS3 download it now.
This is still a great game!!! Amazing what the hardware was capable of when pushed hard- especially the first stardust working on A500 still impresses
Nice video, but yeah as superturbo2 said, not all the sound channels are working ( its as if the left or right audio jack has been taken out ) and also the frame update on the screen seems a little slow as well.. Looks like its running kinda jerky. Other than that, though.. Fine video :)
How do you run Super stardust on your real machine.
As I try to load it on my a1200 it hangs at "insert disk 1"

"Poing" is the game you're thinking of. There's a PC version of it now, but its not as good. No nifty procedural music or anything.

Yes! I remember playing the PC version back then (it was around 1996 I think)... Music kicked ass by the way...

hmm... sounds like not all sound channels are working... did you record it from a real amiga or emu?
superturbo2 5 years ago
Yeah its recorded from my 1260T, my config does make playing some games hard so it might be messing with the sound. Sorry
AmigaRetro 5 years ago
Cool, how do you record it? Is it possible to use a TV-card?
superturbo2 5 years ago
Try using an Adaptec Gamebridge, it goes in the USB port and doesn't slow down your game or recording quality.

It's was a very impressive game! i think to remember that the programmer splitted the channel in 7bits to have even more channels of music!!
