Its not just NK invading, they have built themselves an asian empire

And an EMP taking out the power, combined with a surprise attack, would make a coordinated defence impossible

the North Korean President is Kim Jong-Un which is the son of Kim Jong-Il. AFAIK, the Nork President was never shown in the game apart from the opening cutscene which was in the year 2010 showing Kim Jong-Un in his mid 30s while you take control over Jacobs on the year 2027, a good 20 years after you saw the Nork President in his puberty.

Where's Europe and all of the other allies to the US, I find it interesting that back in WW2, various nations stepped in to fight the Axis, Canada and Australia included. This doesn't make sense to me that NK could get this far with ought getting hammered by the rest of the international community. The only way this MIGHT happen is if they had direct backing from the Chinese.
