Kay looks like a plastic,"grannie-barbie". She hasn't done a damn thing since she has been in office. Lazy as Hell! Some devils do change shape and appear in the form of your grandmother.
Nope, it's just people who care, making sure they get the message out. If you think it's unfair, then why don't you go run along and do it yourself. Great. Thanks.
I don't take issue with people who care as much as I do "the message" they try to peddle as truth. Deliberately arranging soundbites to form innuendo is classic propaganda and deception. All credibility is lost and only the willing are duped.
Here we have politicians and the media falling over each other to spread their talking points. Meanwhile gas prices and food are sky rocketing and people are losing their homes. America has become a joke around the world and people are dying in a war for oil, corporations now control America. Yet, the U.S media decides to air total bullshit that is more like the Enquirer than news. If someone doesn't wrap themselves in a flag they are denounced. I say FUCK you, this is no longer America!
kay, the poor old thing, tried her best at damage control, but succeeded in just adding to it.
hopefully the repugs will keep her, as they should most of their buffooned politicians, in the background, or for sure mccain will lose by even bigger margins this november.
I like both McCain and Obama. Here we have 2 candidates that want to run a respectable election. Now everyone else wants to inject dirty politics into it.
I didn't think there were anti-Catholics in the 21st century. Oh well, better to be called a Great Whore than a lousy one. And those evangelical preachers know their whores.
"And remember Hagee has a big congregation!" By Hutchinson's logic, if your congregation is big enough and politically powerful, you can dismiss any other group you hate as whores, and the Repugs will suck it up and come to your defense. Is it any wonder voters want change?
Bill Donahue and John Hagee are lunatics. And of course helmet-hair Hutchinson has to support them both so as not to alienate the wacko Texas religious base, and since Hagee is based in San Antonio.
You know, I find it funny in general that there are Christians who hate Catholics and call Catholicism a cult... I mean, WTF? Catholics are the original Christians! It's like hating your grandfather.
The Washington Post, summarizing the opionion of the national press as a whole, says John McCain has proven qualities as a leader to heal the divisions which stricken our nation, whereas, Obama, with his extreme liberal views, would be unable to bring the nation together.
does anyone really think McCain is anti-catholic? cant the poor guy just sell out and go with the flow in peace? cant one guy bring together the war hawks, anti-taxers, and religious right without anyone pointing out the conflicts that exist between them? cant the right even be united by its fears anymore? c'mon people, we do this performance every 4 years, lets not get distracted.
I did not mean to offend... "Whore" and "false cult system" are actually Hagee's words not mine. I forgot the quotes.
I was simply pointing out that the same hate rhetoric that Hagee uses can also applied to his own fellowship as well.
It amazes me how quickly religious leaders a point fingers at others. "Us" vs. "Them" is human nature, however it should be the job of religion to rise above that. For the most part IMO they fall short.
oolong2: Religion should rise above that? How exactly do you expect that to happen, when religion is, in part, an extension of our group mentality that works vigorously to ENFORCE that group mentality, and works especially hard to enforce the idea of excluded groups -- in Christianity's example, excluding non-Christians, excluding homosexuals, etc.
My ideal is that religion should rise above it. Not that it actually happens...
One can argue that the roots of christianity and many other religions were very inclusionary it wasn't until they became dogmatic that they where exclusionary.
Ironic being that christianity was formed out of fighting the political and religious restrictions at the time.
But once something is considered absolute, it's purpose and meaning decays, over time becoming increasingly irrelevant.
oolong2: Well, I was referring to the fact that non-Christians are excluded from going to Heaven, and that belief diffuses into the general beliefs held by Christians. As an example, many Christians believe that non-Christians are immoral. What do you think the result would be if a non-Christian ran for President? As a matter of fact, how many of our political leaders are actually Christian, and how many claim to be Christian because they know they are otherwise unelectable?
I'd have to agree with Hagee that the catholic church is a whore and a false cult system. I'd also say that it's a power hungry empire that feeds on the emotions and pocketbooks of the masses.
But then again I could say the same thing about evangelicals...
Obama did not pursue Farrakhan's endorsement, and has denounced him. McCain pursued Hagee and then stood on a stage with him to trumpet the endorsement. Republicans still get a pass.
Good comment. But I think that it is due to tactics. He needs a conservative base especially if he runs against Obama... I just feel that he was a bit too desperate. Something that he can ride over easily though...
Welcome to control theater. Do not defame the Manchurian Candidate! How can you not be tolerant about mind control culture and tactics? Consider mind control and adverse tactics (fighting over stupid stuff) Very meaningful indeed! Let us plan for perpetual war where crowd control by hysteria rules. Whatever! If there is god please don't let me be reborn in selfish mind control land.

Absolutely. If Dick Cheney were French, he wouldn't pretend he's a Christian. But here in the USA, he has to fake he's a Christian.
