I was trying to explain Nick Cave, they had thought this song, a cover of a very old song, was "silly".

First, the Bad Seeds are not a standard rock group at all. Second, in this live clip Cave looks like he is going to smack someone to death in the front row, far from silly.

To each his own, but I think this rules.

saw this song live at a gig this week in Perth, totally amazing and there was no silent pauses....... i think he played for 2 hours with the audience totally captivated. great, great stuff x

@shambuei Maybe they're just appreciating the tension. Watch the whole gig and you'll see the whole crowd seem to know all the words to the entire back-catalogue. Seems like actually they invited a hand-picked group of obsessives.

I just really like Warren Ellis' approach to the music and the way he is using the instruments... Since Blixa, who played guitar, left the band Ellis has kind of filled in for him.. that's the way I look at it anyway.
