  • 1:06 Bullshit. Ask elderly African Ameicans if that was true in 1948.

  • @Elthiopia agreed this is total bullshit there was no kind of equality untill the 70s

  • 8:23

    BEST PART!

    SO TRUE

  • they should show more of these cartoons now-a-days.

  • wow that last couple of sentences "through class warfare, racial intolerance" etc sounds strangely familiar to republicans...

  • notice they left out the 2nd and most important right / freedom......

  • audio quality is superb.......

  • 4:26 my animals like to tinker around the barn but then I got to clean it up

  • 1:04 its all races creeds and religions... notice they showed it but did not say together in school. Definitely not in 1948

  • Why is the Dad hitting the ball into the trees from the tee?

  • The video pauses a lot, and I know who to blame: Dirty commies! :)

  • Right on!

  • Very interesting video. Ideology aside, it's interesting to see the differences between Soviet and US propaganda.

  • This is pure propaganda if you think it is realistic you lack critical thinking skills.

  • @moonkat6 thats a pretty big blanket statement. care to point out what parts are propoganda? because the henry ford story was right on, and the only propoganda portion was the end.

  • Fantastic cartoonMost interesting!

  • This is an excellent cartoon, and probably to much thinking for the modern, brain dead WWF, Snoop Dog, porn addicted audience. We have become a society of bickering victims, demanding free health care, retirement, reparations, education, security, etc. To many in our land are bitter, spoiled and debauched...they want for nothing yet complain for everything...this unproductive lifestyle coupled with the false and harsh religion of "environmentalism" will lead us to self-destruction..

  • What's funny is that propaganda cartoons depicting Jews as rats and vermin are shown today, in our modern age, in many Muslim countries around the world. Our sensitive US culture is great at apologizing for past bigotries, but REALLY lacks balls in condemning its modern manifestation in other parts of the world.

  • there was no cold war it was a game just like now with terrorism to the people who made it. These people are our enemie the corruput elite families who control everyone with money and always fund both sides of conflicts/movements. They shud be our target we must take them down and make them pay for what they have done. we have many they are few and we will not be free untill we get rid of them.

  • Brilliant analysis.

  • We must declare war agaist the nations of Azeroth!!..oh wait...

  • #2- what a fucked up Twilight Zone that era was before the 1960's woke everyone up!!

  • valuable info! fuck the fascist suits and theyre goofy roman haircuts!

  • Very interesting!

Back then the enemy ISM was communism.

    Today it's terrorISM!

Except the difference is that the terrorists have won because Pres. Bush has secretly passed laws that have removed our freedoms, already!

By law, any one of us may now be imprisoned without trial and without anyone knowing!

WAKE UP AMERICA, smell the fascism!

    Peace, wisdom, sanity and Life!

  • Where are the black people??? They didn't have them around back in the Forties...

  • The main thrust here seems not to be that the theory is flawed, but that the practice thereof is flawed. I, personally, am lazy, and would be perfectly happy to sign over my property and freedoms to someone in return for them taking care of me, PROVIDED I could trust them. Therein lies the problem. Socialism as a theory is great, in fact, I consider it better than the theory of capitalism. However, there is no way for it to be successfully instituted. Thus in practice, capitalism is better.

  • The only way that libertarian ideas will benefit everyone is if all corporations and big business have been abolished or destroyed, it also should include the Federal Reserve, Ron Paul ideas in practice

Since it is imposible, I will prefer a mixed economy where capitalist and socialist ideas are put into work, a Social Democracy

If Western Europe would adopted neoliberal and libertarian ideas after WWII instead of the Welfare State, all Western Europe would be on the claws of Communism.

  • Smells like propaganda for me...

  • FREEDOM SUCKS! I HATE FREEDOM!

  • don't worry, you are already being relieved, piece by piece.

  • Freedom is, say what you like do as you're told.

  • Great video, what stood true then still stands true today. 5/5

  • However, nothing in that video was true even then. That video should be referenced in encyclopedias under the subject of "Propaganda".

  • If you like Communism so much why don't you leave? Judging from your comments you think Cuba's the place for you. btw, do you know more people die leaving Cuba for the U.S. than people who want to leave the U.S.?

  • Actuall, "KC", I never said Cuba was a better place. It's in terrible shape but MOSTLY because of the US embargo. I mentioned that, see? *points at previous post* Read before passing judgement.

  • Cuba had plenty of support from the USSR financially, and the USSR failed economically and politically like Cuba cuz of their facist like leaders and oppression. Even if there wasnt an embargo, you'd still be jailed for saying the wrong thing against the glorious leader. but thats ok, cuz Cuba has awesome entertainment on their state owned government run media.

  • Yes, the USSR failed economically and politically because of their fascist-like leaders. That had nothing to do with communism/socialism. Oppressing the working-class has nothing to do with communism/socialism AT ALL. If it did, it wouldn't be communism/socialism - it would be capitalism (which it was, only not laissez-faire capitalism, but state-monopoly capitalism).

  • At least understand the basic definition of socialism: the communal ownership of the means of production and distribution. If the state REPRESENTATIVES owns the property, then it is not communism. It is not communist until the means of production and distribution are in the hands of the producers and distributors - that is, the workers - collectively.

  • yeah i do understand it, and true communism can never happen, its fairytale bullshit. human nature has to change for communism to work. humans are greedy aggressive creatures. not all of us can go through with it like marx or a few commune hippies.

  • First of all - speak for yourself. "Greedy"? There's a difference between knowing that A) If I help others, they will help me - if I treat them fairly, they will treat me fairly; and B) Fuck people, they're mine to exploit. You don't understand it. Stop pretending like you do (critical thinking ain't your thing apparently). I've lived in a squat/commune - they do work. Laissez-Faire capitalism is the true fairytale bullshit.

  • "Human Nature"? You have no ability to understand it. No one does - it's all speculation. I've studied evolutionary psychology, cultural evolution, anthropology, etc. It's pretty much guaranteed that we won't ever completely understand what even "nature" implies. But, to simplify things: You're a moron - if you admit that people like Marx and Commune hippies can overcome/curb 'nature', then we all can. Or maybe, like most antisocial people, you'll just die out.

  • ad hominum abusive - invalid.

  • What, I might ask you, did John Locke say about free market capitalism? I doubt you've read any of the founding works on free-market capitalism. Let me help: it works as long as there is enough free land for anyone to CHOOSE to be their own boss. The moment when we have no choice, do to the monopolization of useful/decent resources, other than to be workers (to sell our labor), then the laissez-faire capitalism has failed. It has failed in all cases.

  • Communism, on the other hand, (at least the that form that is stateless) has had successful experiments. The problems have always been that the State protects the PROPERTY OWNERS, never the working class (for the working class does not have anything to offer the State except labor, and there's an overabundance of that available).

  • While people try and bullshit to discredit this video, the representation of Soviet Communism was right on the mark. However, you can talk about "Communism' in its ideal - although it has never materialized.

  • You can also talk about laissez-faire capitalism in its ideal - although it has never materialized. Even Thomas Paine forsaw some of the problems that would arise from free-market capitalism. Too bad he didn't see all of the problems that would arise...

  • Also, everyone misses the freakin' point of communism: MARX himself claimed that without capitalism as a starting point, any attempt at revolution would be doomed to failure. All those so-called communist nations never had a chance to experience real capitalism, which is a necessary evil (it's better than Feudalism, for a while at least!), and the necessary stepping stone to communism. Read a book sometime, people!

  • The only countries closest to any form of Communism are the nordic countries - yet they have strong cpaitalist traditions with a large social net. Marx would be rolling in his grave to see what Stalin and Lenin did to his book. Marx was also a hard read. Engels is much more readable.

  • that was neat =)

  • sounds like the video got it right. of course you have to generalize. you whiny people would be dragged off in the middle of the night for even writing something like that. I guess we're not as awesome as Cuba to you, because the far-left praise Castro so much.

  • Sorry, why don't you do yourself a favor and think for yourself once in a while. Cuba is in such poor shape because of our trade embargo. The communists set up a great system (better education system than ours, better health system, etc.), but we wouldn't allow it to flourish. Go figure.

  • "Protection against cruel punishment"? Have we forgotten innocent people are executed all the time (the death penalty system is imperfect)? "The right to vote"? Yeah, and to have that vote overruled by the Electoral College. "The right to worship god in your own way"? Quite an assumption. Many people are athiest. This is low-brow right wing propaganda at its most pathetic.

  • 1. You're a moron. 2. The government stonewalls justice: only those who are "unamerican" are truly patriotic, nowadays. 3. The religious comment was made in response to the obvious religious bias of the video. 4. Get an education, at least those are relatively cheap here in Amerikkka (visit the library.)

  • Why are you calling me names?

Why you think I don´t like you?

Why You think I need an education?

And visit the library, if I answer you well.

( you only add more "questions", get it?)

What you want me to say? Dont Fght??

    Don´t apply your rights?

  • You're a moron if you honestly believe America is the "land of the free, home of the brave". I don't care if you like me or not. You need a more comprehensive education - see all sides of the story instead of one (the library is better for self education). I don't want you to say anything. Fight for TRUTH. Rights in America? Ha!

  • Im sorry if you insist in calling me names, and deny I have a better education than you have.

And Im more rational, and logical.

    Try to know your rights.

(Go to a Lawyer, not a library you fool)

By the way, I understand if u are not brave, neither free... one day.

    Fight for truth? Stupidity.

Spread the truth (that U DO´T KOW WHAT IT IS)

    Fight for Freedom & Rights.

    Get it?

    MEMORIZE IT

  • Anyone who would take the words of a person as MORE factual than the words written in a book is

neither rational or logical ("Go to a lawyer, not a library you fool" - you think Lawyers get

their information from God? They get it from books, or those that get their information from books, etc.)When you say, "know your rights", you don't understand that the means to "know your rights" is in the hands of those that have/seek control. (more follows)

  • (cont.) Their power is circular - they define my rights, and I must "know my rights" to challenge their system. Why would they give us rights that would jeopardize their power? That is why I say "fight for TRUTH", because the struggle to undo "the system of information" (a.k.a. "the systematic spreading of (dis)information") is a fight that, once won, is the true road to Freedom. Open a book sometime instead of listening to anyone that opens their mouth - it might do you some good.

  • Breaks people down into 4 archetypes: Malt-Shop hopping kid, old man on the front porch, church going mom, liesure-loving dad. None of which are interested in a critique of the capitalist economic system. "Freedom to work"? More like freedom to choose between starvation or work. "Freedom to own property?" If you have the

money (most don't), otherwise you rent. "Security from 'unlawful' yada." The government decides the law - consider the patriot act.
