  • I've recently perfected my side to side aerial , and i could have done it whenever i wanted , but now , after three weeks , i CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE. It is really iritating , because i keep putting my hands on the floor all the time. I don't know what the hell happened. Please answer if you know why is this happening.

  • @thecheergirl98 If you still haven't gotten it, try putting your hands down right before you land instead of right before you take off. Also, another good thing to try is down a hill. That is how I learned it. Doing it off something is easier than doing it on flat ground. Another really good option is finding a curb or a small slope to try it with. It seams like it would be harder to do it up a curb, but it is actually easier. Placing your foot on the curb causes you to naturally block.

  • here is a tip for you, in order to improve yourself, after you dip, pull ur chest upward, you will get much more height

  • side 2 side aerial is nothing more but a more vertical and/or higher b-kick dummy..

  • I'm sorry but the only different aerials are front, back and side. There are no "gymnastics aerials". Thats called a standing aerial, not "side-to-side".

  • your gymnastics aerial was more like a sideflip

    because gymnastics aerials need to land the opposite direction (kinda like the cartwheel) , but i find the sideflip harder , so good for you :)

  • actually, you can do one gymnastics ariel after the other :P you can either connect them with a chasse, or you can just do a bunch of standing ariels in a row with a slight pause..

  • just try and think of your leg hitting the ground before your hand and if that doesnt worktry flinging them up to continue the rotation which isnt that smart but your arms wont touch

  • if you still have this problem i had the same. its your rotation, make sure you kick your back leg real hard aswell as swinging the arms. if you bring your arms to the ground in fear then you will stop rotating, you just need to suck it up and just go for it!

  • originally i made these videos to just help a few friends out who were having massive trouble i don't claim to be a professional or have gymnastics form or be an amazing tricker, im suprised that a year or so later i have 50,000 views and shit, so the hate seems unneccesary...

  • good job. i attempt aerials on my trampoline but always fail. I keep my arms straight and hanging down to prevent me from falling. But, whenever i attempt the aerial, it just turns into a roundoff. Do i need to jump more? or is it fear?

  • i'm having trouble untucking my side to side ariels. i always end up doing them in a ball. any ideas or way i can work on keeping them extended out. you look a bit more flexible than me, can that be a factor?

  • i saw a fat guy doing them so if he can do it then you should be fine just work on extending after 2 and when you tried 2 go for 3

    if you cant do 2 try 1 but get it perfect so you are nearly jumping into the air (good height which means you can have longer to untuck on your 2nd)

  • I don't think so. I don't know a lot about aerials, but all you need to do is shift your center of gravity up a bit.

    i already knew how to do an aerial. i did it like 4 times awhile a ago....but wen mi cheer competition was around tha cornerr i was a bit rustyy. i needed to get mi aerial [which gave our team a whole lota points]

    so wen i saw this video; tha tips helped a lot

  • heyy thats pretty cool but like the thing with your running aerial is like you dont seem to be pushing up off the ground hard enough. try jumping up instead of out and im sure you'll have a reall good one. p.s straighten your legs a lil lol hah but that was really cool

  • if you could do it before u probably can do it again if u can pinpoint why u cant do it. for example if its your jump height do jump exercises, if its your speed do exercises for that and so on. make sure u dont jump forward that a very common problem.

  • ok for the normal gymnastic aerial...jus make ur aerials smaller. smaller wheel. quicker to get over. basically work on ur cartwheel, putting ur hands closer together and then making ur feet land closer to ur feet. it took me so long to get an aerial. i watched this video when i couldnt do an aerial. good vid tho..=D

  • whip your back leg up as hard as u can. ur probably trying to jump of your backleg, the back leg is only supposed to do about 10% of the jump the rest is up to your front leg

  • Unfortunately you are the dumbass. A berani, which you spelled wrong, is a running aerial where your feet land together - basically you do a round off with no hands. A running aerial is a standard aerial. Maybe you should know your shit before calling people names. Congrats!

  • just a tip, when u go over in the gymnast aerial, u practically touch your knee to your chest, use the momentum in the run otherwise u overthrough your jump. Lift your chest up a little higher and kick your leg around harder and youll have it perfect.
