Excellent video, thanks for posting memories of another piece of American history of interest to the World at large, that is now uner a golf course, or shopping mall (Riverside), or housing development (Stardust Raceway). Maybe the politician will get together and undo what was done once the golf course stops making money.
How ironic but recently the town of Bridgehampton has publicly regretted closing the race track. It seems that the little noise a few days a year and a few drops of spilled oil is far more inviromentaley friendly then all the fertilizers, weed killers and other pesticides that have started popping up in the wells and ground water around the golf course... Who ever would have thought that Long Island
Thanks for posting this. Great memories of Moss, Donohue and Revson here - Track was a great circuit, problem was there was not enough motel beds available for any kind of crowd that these events drew.
I was at this race as a 16 yr old boy with my Dad. We drove from our home in Islip Village ( yes... home of the famous Islip Speedway) in my newly renovated 1964 Triumph Spitfire! It turns out my future wife was also at the race with her Dad. We would meet manyyears later.
I have done many a lap at "The Bridge" With my Formula Ford and F2000 with EMRA and RCCA!
