  • It doesn't get much better than this.

  • I think person who dislikes must have slipped...great $hit!! Pure, made my ears happy!

  • Great Stuff!!!

  • Fantastic number!

  • I was a sophmore in college in the '70's and these guys were my first taste of blues... they were rocking...

  • this song is suggestive and baby that's what makes it so damn good.

  • the one person who didnt like this song should be shot in the head.

  • @RanKandiez505 HAHAHAHAHAHA! Classic comment. Whoever doesn't like this brilliance has no soul.

  • Real feeling....next to the original Reed version this has to be the best.

  • What a great Thing.

  • what key is the harp on this song

  • @MrArtfreako , song is in E, harmonica in B... but i'm not sure.

  • @QQwert1988 use your A harp for key of E in cross harp (second position)

  • @MrArtfreako The song is in E, so you use the major scale and go to the IV(4th) of the scale, which happens to be A, which lowcoal76 said already, but It's good to know the theroy for when you find a song in another key and you want to play it.

  • can anyone tell which key is the harp on this tune

  • @MrArtfreako

Salut,je le joue en "C" en diésant 1/2 ton la note...

    Cordialement.

  • Once upon a time, I had an LP by Ike Turner called Blues Roots and there was a version of this song on it entitled "But That's Alright".

Mean Blues tune. And this version is outstanding. Definitely the same lyrics but I have been trying to get my hands on any media copy of Turner's Blues Roots. He plays a totally different style of this but it's just as mean. I used to have this damn CD too, but misplaced it somehow. Buddy Guy on acoustic twelve string singing and playing with Wells!

  • I just discovered this album 2 or three years ago and can't get enough!!!!

  • Now this is what Blues was, is, and always should be.

  • This was recorded in France sometime in the early 80s I think and is called Alone and Acoustic. A top shelf recording!

  • feel like i'm sittin on a porch in clarksdale or somthin listenin to this. yeeah. so good

  • They play kindof a medley between Jimmy Reed's song & Junior Parker's That's Alright... another great song

  • from the buddy guy & junior wells, last time around, live at legend ..

there's a funny part when buudy guy mocking junior with the lines:

"when i'm in love with u junior ... u just seem don't understand ... now i got me another woman ... you can have yourself a man " ... :p

  • Nothing in the world like afro american music, it rocks!

  • lol afro american....it's ok to say black still i think....but i completely agree from the blues in north america to raggae in the carribean to the more tribal style still alive in africa - just straight to your soul type music, love it! (ps i'm a white south africa/chinese mix if anyone wondering - NO BIAS)

  • The song is a JIMMY REED original.

I did a tribute to Jimmy Reed. An animated short film of 74 seconds with newly recorded music. You can watch the original artist on my channel, too. (under favorites)
