  • that's awesome! Are any of your fish rescued from people who bought them as baby's not realizing how big they get? Also how do you keep the pond warm?

  • @copperchan hi mate, yes i do, pet shops dont advise people properly, i use a 3kw inline pond heater.

  • Sir you honestly have the most beautiful Red Tail Catfish collection right there. The black color on the other ones is amazing. Even Boris is a good lookin' guy. I'd love to own these fish but I don't think I'll ever have a suitable home this size for them. Maybe one day.

  • Hey, im kinda new to keeping fish. I already had some Oscars, Goldfish, lots of Betas, and Turtles. If so, is it possible to keep, Oscars, Plecos, Red Tails, Pacu, Knife Fish, and any South American Ciclids together?

  • @IR0NXi0NG hi we had 2 sturgeon in the pond and they were ok with the reds and all other fish we have, but we dont have a high temp in the pond,we have managed slowly to get it down to 16 degrees,as my wifen is a water and fish expert, hope this helps, thanks

  • @iLikETurtleS1029 hi, it all depends on there sizes but they should be ok

  • Wow! Beautiful redtails! May I ask what filtering method and what size you're using to keep the water quality safe with that many large fish? And...how many gallons is your pond?

  • @MsSchavez hi,thank you, we use two canister filters 12000lts per hour and 8000lts per hour the pond is around 12000 gallons

  • thankx a lot.

  • I have a question for you since you own a lot of red tail catfish.my baby 2 inch RTC lives in a 10 gallon tank with a 3 and a half inch albino baby channel catfish for now.the albinos been biting my RTC and his beautiful fins are all torn.ive been wondering will it grow back to the same.

  • @IR0NXi0NG hi, dont worry they will grow back and they will be the same, some of mine fin nip but they soon heal

    God bless

  • @tphroc many thanks

  • i looked up buying a red tail catfish and i saw on ebay a photo of a giant red tail catfish. i thought it reminded me of boris b/c i saw your video a while ago. then when i scroled farther down i saw that it was boris. it gave me a good chuckle about it. im sorry that it is getting difficult for you to support the fish

  • @Mrfish4life1 hi, it dosent help now that im at home looking after my wife, also winter has arrived and it costs alot more to heat the pond. the fish are getting huge now and need more feed, so every bit of help is grately appreciated, cheers

  • beautiful. I wish I could give my Cat a good home and and now my RTC will have a good home. My 135 gallon won't last much longer. I feel bad.

  • @mynameisbannable hi,thats the trouble with these cats, they can grow to up to 7ft and not many people can or are willing to house them, even the public aquariums are full with them, so what happens to them, they end up dead. cheers

  • hey what is your youngest cat over there???,you have a cross breed

  • @killerpiraiba hi the youngest cat is about 8months and is around 14inches, have 2 cross breeds one at 3ft and the other 2ft,cheers

  • Some boiling hot peanut oil and corn meal to batter them with would sure make those fish look better.... But then again, we drink our beer cold, so what the hell do I know?

  • @tphroc hi,yes there good eating, but ive never tried one, maybe one day!!!!!!!!!

  • where are you it looks cold. you must pay a fortune for heating

  • Eeeeevilllll!

  • @pondguru cheers

  • OMG IMAGINE IF THESE THINGS WERE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD SMALL FISHING HOLE POND THAT NOONE KNEW ABOUT. IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! until some redneck comes and takes all of em like they did at my pond today. i dont even mind people taking cats, but not rare species or if they are not a large size. this redneck took like 12 half pound cats in my local fishing pond that is hidden in the woods. i was like wow why not let them grow and then catch em again when they are like 9 lbers but oh well

  • @DGKall2010 i agree, he should be shot on site!!!!!!!!!

  • nice pond and even better fish! Ive been considering building a similar pond for my redtails and company, only it will be indoors. I was wondering if you (or anyone reading) has some suggestions or and plans that you used for constructing your ponds? Also suggestions for heating and filtering. Thanks

  • @daveyuke8 hi,cheers, pity more people dont

  • nice catfish checkout mines

  • cheers, nice fish

  • could you make an update?

  • hi, will be doing soon, very busy at moment

  • Don't those red tailed cats get bigger? Will you upgrade their living space later?

  • hi they can get to seven feet, but they have plenty of room at moment,in future we can double the size of the pond

  • @catfishkeeper 7 feet is huge! I'm glad you are responsible , because I'm sure other fishkeepers do not take into consideration the commitment that these initially "small" fish need as they grow hugely beyond their expectations. Good luck.

  • @bbqliliha many thanks

  • @catfishkeeper You're welcome! =]

  • they must be expensive to keep fed

  • hi, yes they cost about £30 a week to feed

  • @catfishkeeper , What do you feed them? im sure they would eat dog food

  • @Mason749 hi, they eat hotdogs, prawns and fish but not sea fish, cheers

  • that looks really small for all of those large fish...looks like they can hardly move

  • pond is now 3 times the size of that 1

  • @catfishkeeper can you make a video of your new pond.

  • go boris! great pond, sir!

  • hi,many thanks

  • I'm impressed! Is that a converted jacuzzi you used for the pond?

  • hi,no its a purpose built pond,cheers

  • Wow nice pond, but you do have a little too much fish in there. Red tail cats can get very large as you know.

  • hi mate, the pond is now 3times the size of the one in the video, so theyve got plenty of room, cheers

  • you are doing an excellent job there mate, keep up the good work. must cost you a fortune to feed 'em all though?!?!

  • yea they eat better than we do,cheers

  • Wish I had a pond like that! Nice fish!

  • cheers for that, dont like to see redtails in tanks as they grow so big

  • .nice setup. im building one myself for rtc .tsn. and jau catfish. what sort of filtration do you have in your pond

  • Isn't that tank to small?

  • yep, good job we rebuilt it 3 times the size, cheers

  • @catfishkeeper Cool man! Those guys are really awesome. Cheers!

  • Hi I had a question, my redtail started to turn pale and hasn't eaten in about 2-3 days. He is swimming a lot more than usual. Do you know what's wrong with it?

  • hi mate, sounds like hes a little stressed, should be alright if left alone, cheers

  • omt im scared that my red tail will grow that big it might eat my arrowana

  • omg holy shit nice tank

  • many thanks

  • cool

  • cheers

  • what type of liner is that

  • hi, just a standard pond liner, blue on one side, black on the other

  • ive always loved the diff. types of redtails! im just waiting till i can build/ provide a sizable place for them to grow to their true potential! you have some great looking cats there!!!

  • cheers mate, their alot bigger now

  • damn! thats huge!

  • hes bigger now, just under 4ft

  • dude are you ever gonna make any more vids

  • yes in the summer, cheers

  • over crowded

  • Good for you setting up a place to hold the poor unwanted fish. Big fish seem cool until people realize the expenses and work that come with them.

  • beautiful fish. I had a shovelnose red tail hybrid for a while but my piranhas ate him. The guy at the fish shop said he would hide and he'd be able to make it with them. didnt last long. fuck im pissed at my piranhas

  • catfish normally eat piranhas, get a big catfish and you should have no trouble

  • @emisarre you should be pissed at that guy. he lied just to make a sale. you cant stop piranhas from doing wat they do naturally.

  • wow i wish i had a pond like that! love redtail catfish too

  • cheers mate, they are great fish

  • tq a lot and same to u

  • hi mate, try different types of food, plus if it is full it will just rest and not swim about alot till its hungry again, cheers

  • oh icic...what meat are dark in colour?out of sudden can't think about it.any idea?my catfish size 8 inches and still long way to go if compare to yours.but i am happy beacause the fish grown very fast.if give the catfish raw hotdogs?can?

  • hi mate, meats such as liver, heart, i tend to cook it first though, i also feed every other day,

  • why my catfish the skin colour so light n grey?i see ur are dark n brighter on the tail?what is the reason?sum of the catfish the colour relly nice and wonderful but my catfish colour ligt grey n not really dark and the tail colour a bit red

  • hi mate, it all depends on what food you feed them, dark meat makes them go darker, plus mine are in natural light, cheers

  • oh icic...u mean the raw hotdogs?

  • no already cooked in tins

  • so mostly what u give the catfish eat?red tail catfish really is a nice fish....

  • hi, they mainlt eat hotdogs and prawns also halibut pellets

  • borris is a beauty

  • many thanks

  • hi i just bought catfish about a month ago n this fish really can eat and grow big.i rear quite many type of fish and those fish not really grow that fast expect catfish

  • yes they grow very fast , boris is now around 4ft

  • Nice one. Ur like a catfish saint. People just dont know what there getting when they buy these things. Usually just inexperienced fags thinking its a good christmas present. Keep up the good work.

  • hi mate, cheers for that, people dont know how big these cats get, and how much they eat, people should do there homework before buying them, and fish shops should sell only to people who know how to keep them.....

  • i love keeping fish but as im only 15 i cant really get a pond tht size but out of interest how do u heat it and how much does it cost thx

  • hi mate, we use a 3kw pond heater and they cost around £300, cheers
