The 08 STI has the exact same front spring rates, (comparable rear wheel rates. but different spring rates thanks to the change from Chapman strut to dual-wishbone) stiffer strut mounts and much better shocks. The only downside to the '08s is limited travel in the rear suspension and heavier wheels.
I like 08, its grown on me.

The 08 has a softer suspension which should grip better on a wet surface. I think the 07 would do better in the dry.

uh.. you must have missed the part where when in the 07, he said hes having a very hard time keeping up and that the 08 is very fast..
even after switching cars, the 08 outperformed overall in this comparison.
take a look at the 200m runs. thats where the 07 did better.
im not an 08 fanboy.. i actually own an 07.

in these tests, the 2008.. though in the 200m runs, the 2007 outperformed.
