To the general: The voice is not the basis. It's how they deliver the song and what genre they are in, and since they both have different genres, therefore you can't compare the two. Versatility goes to Regine, Smoothness goes to Sitti.

To Regine fans: she may have the power to belt but she cannot deliver the song the BOSSA NOVA WAY.

To Sitti fans: Sometimes she has the tendency to sound high pitched (using nose air) which can be irritating to the ear, but can still manage to deliver it back.

Among Sitti's songs in her album, this was my favorite. It's nice to listen to 'cause that's how bossa nova should be.

Regine, on the other hand, takes it up one notch because she retains the mood of the original version cause the song's supposedly sad.

I'll have to choose Regine's cause it has more depth & feeling. Although u can't really compare pop to jazz.

On a diff. note, I'm rather disappointed in Sitti's live performances. And; of course, Regine is, hands down, awesome live.

Sa totoo lang, mas maganda ang "Butseke" bossa version ni Regine than any of Sitti's songs, lol. And to think naglalaro lang si Regine doon. Vocally, Regine is more versatile than Sitti, but we shouldn't really be comparing them. Sitti found her niche in the music industry. A niche that I don't think Regine would consider seriously, although she can if she wanted to. Magkaiba ang mundo nila sa industriya.

all i can say is they're incomparable. you may compare regine to sarah and sitti to olivia, but regine to sitti? :) but if asked to what version is better? sitti's. but dont let regine sing sitti's songs, and sitti sing regine's songs. they are not of the same genre.
