hey man nice mod I am doing the same thing, just wanted to ask a question, so you have the red and yellow wire hooked up to the switch do i take the black wire that is attached to the molex and inverter plug and split it 3 way, so it goes to the from the molex power, to inverter plug to the switch.
Nice tutorial, but you are docked one point... 4/5. Why, you may be wondering? First, the good. You were very thorough, spoke clear, gave good ideas, and had great visuals. Now, the bad... You only get 4/5 because you had some ugly/unorganized wiring. lol. But, once again... Nice vid overall.
Yea no ground is needed if u don't have LEDs in the switch. I just cut the end of the molex from another cable and left some yellow attached to the connector. Then just soldered the 2 ends
why do you have an apple keyboard?? Unless you have a mac like me. Please visit my other account kingcr3b. yeah im going to put some vids up of my macs on that account. I use this account as a secondary account for commenting.
there nice keyboards :D. When they came out and i used it i was like holy cow i like this! It seems like its easier to type with it then other keyboards.
also did u soider the wires to the pongs of the switchs?(like for example, the power, did u soider the yellow power wire to the power pong?)or did u use a quick connect?
i dont think you need to solder quick connects. You need the right size for the wires and then you need to crimp them. You need a crimping tool to do that tho
sweet this helped me out so much, i'm putting a 4" blue one up top like you and wiring it into my storm scout light switch.

where did you get those switches from?
rawrmadmonkey 1 month ago
@rawrmadmonkey You can get them at Radio Shack. The model number is 275-0023--at least that's what it says on the package they came in.

So you basically needed power to supply the switches for their LED, just to switch on the cathodes that need power themselves. Arsed.
Omanlp 5 months ago
@Omanlp well yea. you can get switches without the lights but if you get LED switches than you need power going to them.

Does this work with a 10A switch LED?

Would you need to ground it if you did NOT have illuminated toggle switches?

How does the red wire go there? Straight from switch to the inverter box or what?

is it possible to use one switch for all of the cathodes?
hiphopapotomas 2 years ago
Yes just solder all of the cables together and connect them to the one switch

what if the switch doesnt have LED's?No ground is needed right?Becuz ground is only used for switches with LEDs in them right?
and how did u put the yellow wire into the Molex?Like how did u fit it in there?
