@kAsHMoN311 No it's not OK - You also need to do lower body exercises such as Squats and Lunges. Check out my website for all these routines - w w w Kodjoworkout c o m
@IamHoai Hey man, I don't recommend you use the iron gym every day. But once avery 2 or 3 days, you can use it to do some abdominal workout by raising your legs straight up without moving your torso. Of course, you can always use the iron gym to do biceps and shoulder routines such as Pullups. Find many more iron gym videos on my website at w w w Kodjoworkout c o m
@TheDroidXDoes There's never such a thing as a dumb question. Use the Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar about twice a week. You can also use it every morning to stretch your torse. To do that, just hold the grips and hang loose and twist from left to right a few times. You should hear a couple of cracks in your hips area. Feels very good. I would love to do pull up workouts but unfortunately I did some sloppy pulls ups not to long ago and now have pain in the left shoulder =(. I don't have a lot of upper body strength so it's hard....any recommendations?
@takerisen18 Yes, start rebuilding strength with push-ups. Mix them up with Dumbbell shoulder presses and you should gradually begin feeling more comfortable around your shoulder areas. I have a more than 30 different varieties of push-ups on my Channel. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck rebuilding your left shoulder!
@kodjoworkout Thanks for the awesome advice I really appreciate it! I just feel screwed because I don't want to cause injury but still want to do push ups to gain upper body strength. I just can't do many push up right now. I have something similar to the Iron Gym called a Gold's Gym. Its the same thing as the Iron Gym but black instead of silver. But would you recommend still getting the Iron Gym? But is still ok to do push up's and crunches with an ache in the shoulder? And btw I did sub!
@takerisen18 Thank you for subbing, much appreciated. Based on what you said, you don't need to get the Iron gym on top of what you already have. Keep your push-ups in short reps; I would say no more than 10 at a time. Another routine to consider is use very (very) light weight and hold them while extending your arms in a T shape. maintain the hold until you feel the burn. Then rest for one minute and repeat several times. That should help as well.
@kodjoworkout Thanks for the advice! How many sets do you recommend when it comes to doing push ups? I planned to take a few days off on doing push ups to let the shoulder muscles heal up.
@takerisen18 No problem. I mentioned in my previous response that 10 reps is a good number or a quarter of whatever your max reps are. So if you can do 40 pushups non stop, do only 25% of that which is 10. If your max is 20, do only 5. But take a 30 sec break and repeat several times. However don't do it everyday. Like you suggested, you need to take a day or two off to rest.
@kodjoworkout I dont think I'll be using the Iron Gym anymore because I didn't realize the trim around my door was less than a 1/2 think...I'm talking really thin door trim. I dont want to break it while doing push ups...might use push up stands soon to do everything..any recommendation?
@takerisen18 You can always have a carpenter replace the top edge of your door with a thicker trim capable of handling the iron gym. But from what I understood from your comment several days ago, you have shoulder problems. So I wouldn't recommend an iron gym at this point as I mentioned before. Please read my previous commentaries. Good luck with everything.
Is Iron Gym XTREME Workout Bar the newer version of this? Iron gym total upper body workout?
