Her breathy vocals here sounded far so much better than from the time she began "overusing" them to compensate for the more difficult use of her chest vocals which began sounding thinner and huskier from 1997 onwards. By this time her voice was impeccable, strong, solid, technically impeccable and mature-like. Oversinging was probably what led to some slow but clear deterioration of the some of these qualities in her voice in the years after 1993 and 1994 I would say.

I ALWAYS thought that this song sounded a lot like George Michael's "One more try" in the very beginning [musically, note/sound wise], but IT REALLY sounds like that song here. I love this song and still cannot believe that it did not go all the way to number one in the US. "Can't Let Go" ended the #1 streak when it reached number two (kept from #1 by "All for Love" by Color Me Badd).
